Some of you must be trolling at this point. Like it's one thing to say you hear mind and justify why, but it's another to suggest that marred wouldn't make any sense. Anyways, there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.

I think what she's saying is that people saw her for her beauty (Young and Beautiful - "will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?") and didn't recognize the true beauty of her soul and what's inside
 
So therefore, the perception of her outwards appearance overshadows what is on the inside, it marred it, much like the tunnel that is beautiful on the inside, but forgotten about because of what's on the outside

She’s saying that the handmade beauty of the tunnel being sealed up by man made walls is equivalent to her body marring her soul (her soul, her true self being the tunnel she doesn’t want to be forgotten)

right i feel like “my body marred my soul” is the thesis for the whole song, a lot of people have been wondering what the tunnel under ocean boulevard is specifically a metaphor for and that line tells us straight up. on the outside people don’t see her for who she truly is

I find a bit weird that Lana commented cause it's not like it did that much noise. It's just a random 6k followers digital "magazine" so the fact that she said something about it makes me think it's legit
