Openstage is like every other company that offers a digital service to users. If you use a smartphone, have social media accounts, or ANY account online (including LanaBoards), then the discussion of your data in this case is moot. Digital privacy is a myth in this day and age, unfortunately. And if you have Instagram and/or Facebook, best believe Meta is using your data and selling it as f*ck. 

I’m sorry but if you have time to be on Lana Boards in the middle of a week day your data probably isn’t that important

No bc some of you are actually overreacting abit too much now I don’t think anyone cares enough about anyone’s data here to do anything

like if you’re signed up to literally any website at all, they have your data, and like you can literally google someone’s name and find their phone # & address on all those people finder websites, it’s all just public info, basically the same info a phone book would have 
 
artists do these text-update things all the time, it’s really not that deep actually, nothing to worry about, no need to be paranoid or change your number

The way some users are nervous about giving out info, meanwhile I clicked register right away and gave away my full government name, location, email and phone number without even a second thought 
 
to be fair I understand the hesitation. I know every website tracks you using cookies, but with Lana’s history of hacking it feels more high risk

This confuses me. People want guitar, so she leans into that guitar sound but to almost switch it up enough, she gives a more folky sound (it's borderline folk btw, not country, but keep studying music theory! along with all the other musical geniuses on LB lol) and then people say it's not enough lol
i'm not saying you have to like everything she ever puts out, you don't. and i'll be the first to admit, I want something new from lana, i'd love for her to work with kevin parker or someone different and weird, but all i'm saying is that i wouldn't be all that mad or upset if she did a smaller project like chemtrails again post Ocean Blvd

i don't care who produces the next album or what sound she's going for, i'm just looking forward to new music

Well one thing I’ve realized is that theres never any going back for her, people always say “Oh i think this one is going to sound like UV” or “a mix of this and that album” but i think she really just goes forwards with each album, or at least stays in her comfort zone. But this time i hope she makes something more sonically interesting, like A&W and Candy Necklace

i think it's going to be a really eclectic album- she seems to be revisiting her old discography and i believe she wants to incorporate some surfy/ocean vibes (i'm thinking for k part 2, kill kill) with some jazz sounds (terrence loves you, if you lie down w me). i think she's been trying to connect with fans more as well so i could see a couple of lust for life moments paired with familial references. this is going to be a fun album i think

yeah i feel like her discography is just a series of these trilogies. not exactly sound-wise, but thematically ans the kind of energy behind them. first we had aka-btd-uv then hm-lfl-nfr and now we're just finishing up cotcc-bb-dykttatuob so yeah i agree that now i think we're onto something new with the next record.

Yesterday, I listened to a lot of electric guitar driven songs and I think for this album, I'm manifesting hazy, dream pop, shoegaze inspired electric guitar songs. Anything dreamy that makes you levitate, honestly.
 
With that being said, I don't know why am I saying this here but this time right now is really overwhelming for me, I think I'm going to log off for few days but knowing me, I'm sometimes as random as Lana, I might come back in maybe few hours but most likely in few days. So, yeah, see you soon...

Tbh I just want 12-16 brand new Lana songs I will take anything and say thank you.

I think comparing her early projects to her past 3 projects is kinda unfair in a way. I feel like Chemtrails, Blue Banisters, and Ocean Blvd has all been a trilogy of sorts. Like she has been working through the events of her life and the past 3 years with these albums and now she is at a place she can truly start fresh. Ocean Blvd kinda feels like the final version of Blue Banisters and Chemtrails. I’ve always believed Ocean Blvd was a return to the classic Lana Del Rey style of album we are use to and I think we will continue to see that with the next record.
