After Ben said “new music soon” and “new music incoming” on June 4th followed by nothing I realized how truly useless Ben’s word is 
 
I think we could still get maybe a single this year (Maybe October like LYLYLAW or November) and the album early/mid next year, but that’s as far as my delusion is going.

Right I don’t feel connected to her anymore  she does not have to be out here talking to us if she doesn’t want to but I do miss her giving her insights apart from her music, I always love when she settles and starts a livestream

I don't think they meant that Lana needs to release something today. Nobody minds waiting if we get something really good. It's more like, if you tell us that something is coming "soon", then something should be coming soon (and that doesn't mean next year). If Lana's in the middle of working on an album, her managers should just refrain from posting about the album as if it's basically already done because it sets up false expectations.

Lane, Del Rey and Ferrell have performed together before, debuting a song called “The Prettiest Girl In Country Music” in January at a show in Austin, Texas; the song’s title was inspired by the words a creepy man once whispered into Lane’s ear. Can we expect an album from the three in the style of Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt’s 1987 country collaboration, Trio, anytime soon? “I think that’s the worst idea ever,” Lane hoots. “We would never play any shows. You’d never find a schedule that would work.” 
 
Instead, they’ll just keep on having an extremely good time on those rare occasions they do manage to get together. Maybe they’ll write some music, too. “We’ll go honky tonking together, or we’ll get a big house in Texas and live like a pile of idiots, swapping clothes and whatever – and there’ll be songs coming from that. But if you asked for a record, it’d almost f**k it up. I’d rather you hear nothing until 10 years from now you found out that we wrote a whole album!”

We always interpret what she says in interviews to the letter because this is the only amount of information we have on the record BUT we need to remember that she’s always saying anything at that point, I wouldn’t really trust her on that "angry" take, she always changes her mind, and her descriptions aren’t that accurate tbh. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t pre-BB btw

I know she's a model (and a photographer ?) but why would Chuck film a video of her... I'm probably reading too much into it but I feel like the universal emoji when crediting the photographer is the normal camera not the video one....

It's amazing how different lyricism hits different people, because I find nothing redeeming about the lyrics of Watercolor Eyes and they don't touch almost anything on the past three albums in terms of that

I completely agree. While Blue Banisters is good, it’s very hard to just casually play and enjoy the songs, it takes a very specific headspace and when you’re in that headspace it isn’t a ‘jam out’ mood.
 
I do fear that her and I are going different directions, and it’s super easy for other users to say “well if you don’t like her or the direction she’s going, stop being a fan” because truthfully I’m not as big a fan of her as I was and it breaks my heart. I’ve had such a connection with her and the music for 10 years and it’s sad that I can’t vibe to her new music like I used to. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m so happy for the people who are happy at the direction she’s going and are getting exactly what they want from her, but I’m not anymore. When she describes the new album as wordy and raw it just sounds even less like what I want 

Yeah nothing about what she said in the interview made me think that she is enjoying the music she is making right now. Makes me wonder why she doesn’t just release the the wordy songs as part of the poetry book she is working on and wait until she gets inspiration to release new music. There are many projects that she could release in the mean time like a 10th anniversary BTD reissue or the covers album. She can obviously release whatever she wants though, and I’ll listen to whatever she puts out but keeping my expectations low for now.
