Melanie should absolutely focus on her life, but few years for music after this era definitely means her career is basically gone. Idc she peaked in 2014-2017 with Cry Baby. Ate with K-12 and PORTALS, and that's probably it. She is such an amazing and talented person that I wish I could hang out with/interview her for hours.

her last two albums were shit we need either froot 2.0 or a new Electra heart sellout era. Bring back the bleach blonde hair and the cunty lyrics girl

This era is so underrated. I think that version of Plastic Rainbow is one of my all-time favourites by Marina

It had great photoshoots, an exciting rollout for Froot, Happy, IAR, Immortal and Forget, fun music videos and a good tour. What's there not to like?

then i remember that when someone asked for a rock album…. she replied and said that her next album (adiaml) would be rock… which….. ummm… 😭

Yeah, jazz/blues would suit her voice so much. Surprises me she hasn't really done anything like it before. 

personally she can go back to whichever of the first 3 eras she ever so pleases, i just want something that isn’t corny and played out xx <3

I personally think she should go back to The Family Jewels style… Mowgli’s Road weirdness …TEn SIlVer Spoons CooMihg aFter Me! Cuckoo!  I mean she has nothing to lose anyway at this point. 

honestly if I was her I would rebrand again.. has she got anything to lose? She should've just gone by Marina Diamandis to begin with, it's such a unique and pretty name and sets her apart.. that is if she really feels like she outgrew Marina & The Diamonds completely
 
as for her music, Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land was amazing sonically, perhaps one or two less ballads would've helped it, what she really has to tone down are the lyrics.. I haven't heard a song similar to New America before, it's got a Bond-esque vibe, but then you hear the lyrics  ADIAML was a step in the right direction sonically but lyrically she hit an all time low, I'd rather have L+F lyrics with ADIAML production if she just can't get it right like she did for her first 3 albums

if she sung anything more “political” i would hope it’s something she connects to herself in the same vein as girls, sex yeah!, or can’t pin me down 
 
in the sense that i feel she’s a better writer when it comes to self reflection and her own personal experiences to something political/societal than when she’s trying to make a broader statement on a subject with some current world topics thrown in 

she deleted everything MARINA because Marina & The Diamonds is coming back baby

God I wish she was still like this, she was actually relatable in a way less pretentious way.. Now it just seems like she's trying to over compensate because of what she said in the past and it's just coming off the wrong way.

She was referencing cherries a lotttt this year - wearing cherry-printed clothes, cherry accessories, posting pictures of foods w cherries, and she even had her profile picture as cherries up until recently. It could just be something she’s into at the moment, but some have been theorising Froot 2.0 x
