Boz said it's her most confessional album and very vulnerable, I don't think it's just going to just be a singalong to celebrate her family and friends. If the title track is any indication, she's going to be getting into some heavy territory.

Complaining about Lana making music about her family history is ridiculous (TO ME! I AM NOT ATTACKING ANYONE. I can't believe I have to even preface with this with how toxic the boards have been over the past few days) because how many times can we really listen to songs about being in love with a bad boy or one of her exes. This is Lana branching out to new subject matters and being extremely vulnerable in her music. I personally love it.

I definitely think for better or worse-Jacks production skills were shaped via Lana and not vice versa-there’s a big difference between his style on Taylor’s old records and melodrama to NFR- it was a style they founded together and he just liked it so much he continuously refines and reuses it for solar power, those folk Taylor albums etc -later Lana stuff

i think people are forgetting how little control charli had over her own music not even that long ago.
 
self titled was about giving the fans experimental bops whilst also pleasing the label.
 
i don’t think it worked as it’s not a cohesive album BUT the era did repair her relationship with the label and allowed her to release two polar opposite VERY cohesive projects (HIFN and CRASH) as the label could see the demand and benefit of both separately.

it’s the best song from self titled. the build up, the production, the lyrics, the tempo.

If lana goes on tour again I would love for all of the venues to be theaters and concert halls with seating. It's what her voice deserves!!!!

Not my fave but I like it. The orchestral ending of the song with the backing vocals is awesome and I really like that small sigh at the beginning, it's very evocative. Other than that i kinda want to ignore insiders going forward because they kill the initial excitement I would've had for the song on first listen by them overhyping it.
