violentvioletsky liked a post in a topic by lanaismamom in Songs you associate with their album covers
As for me, these songs very clearly represent their album covers
for example Born to Die - Radio (this song reminds me of that blue clear sky from BTD cover and that white shirt Lana wears on it, this is kinda if a cover could've had a sound and this is how it would've sounded like)
Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant - Yayo
Paradise - American
Ultraviolence - Cruel World
Honeymoon - God Knows I Tried
Lust for Life - Get Free
Norman fucking Rockwell! - The greatest
Chemtrails Over the Country Club - Breaking Up Slowly
Blue Banisters - If You Lie Down with Me

Her music has got me overwhelmed with so much emotion (in a good way lol). Last year I was obsessed with her cover of Everytime, its absolutely stunning
At the moment A House In Nebraska, Strangers, Crush and Head In The Wall have got me like
I also fell into a rabbit hole reading up on the Preacher's Daughter storyline, I'm planning to properly listen to the album from start to finish tonight

The alternate UO album cover for Honeymoon should have been the standard one. It just looks way better and visually has more of a cinematic feel which reflects well with the songs
Like take for instance the better text composition, Lana's eyes piercing through your soul and the ‘trust no one’ tattoo being in view which adds to the elusive atmosphere of the record

First off, I’m not sure if there’s another thread like this, I couldn’t find any, but again there are SO many.
To jump in, I am super inspired by films. They touch me like music does. My letterboxd is @sophialaluna if any of you are on there and would like to check it out. I find that people who connect deeply to music also find the same effect in movies. I would love to share my love for films with you all and to recommend movies that I think you would like.
I would love to recommend films to my fellow movie lovers and chat about some of your favorite films with you. To start, share your favorite movies, directors, and actors. I’ll start:
Movies: Coraline, Anastasia, Saw, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Girl Interrupted, Alice in Wonderland (1951), Peter Pan (1953)
Directors: Tim Burton, Henry Selick, Sofia Coppola, James Wan
Actors: Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Helena Bonham Carter, Elle & Dakota Fanning, Courteney Cox, Rosamund Pike

this is a cool thread idea even if i can see it descending into chaos pretty soon
to me the ultimate red flag is saying anything about lana "gaining weight" or her body type changing or anything like that

One of the things that bother me the most in the fandom is how some people openly attack and hate on Nikki Lane saying awful things about her just because Lana herself chose to live a simpler life going on road trips to the Midwest and performing in small venues in Texas… it’s not like Nikki obligated her to do that, she didn’t hold Lana at gunpoint and told her to change her lifestyle, she’s a grown woman and can make her own choices and not be judged for them if she’s not harming anyone.
It must be awful to see people hating on and blaming your best friend when you’re happier with the life you have now :-(

Speak of the devil— new unexpected SF promotion from... Bella Hadid?!
When she posts Don't Forget next and her 56M Instagram followers start mass-streaming which results in Sky/Capitol being forced to mend their issues & release Masochism immediately
