Out in 11 hours, in New Zealand (Thursday, 7am EST)

I'm guessing someone will rip the album and post it online, or if you have a VPN you can stream it on any streaming service

I’m predicting that no one will give af about this honestly. The amount of people that have had Covid along with their partner? Because they kiss each other every day? Please. Lol

i was going to but it's cloudy and gloomy and there's rly no point bc idc about posters

but imagine the collapse if i showed up flash drive in hand to give the LA girlies a "deluxe" track.. it would be such a serve.. unfortunately it would come with the possibility of me serving time along with looks

i don't follow organized religion and am an atheist so i am very sympathetic to this viewpoint and understand where you're coming from but...

unfortunately you'd be hard-pressed to find a pastor ANYWHERE that wouldn't fall under our (as in, the internet, specifically in spheres such as these) definitions for homophobic and transphobic.. and he's a pastor obviously he's going to be pro-life  🤷‍♂️  it's literally just the bible and i don't think critiquing lana for a religion/a man's practices is fair at all.. yes lana believes in the religion and so she's going to follow/support her pastor who will also happen to be those things you've listed (besides rapist, that came from misinformation, the allegations were about another pastor in his church) because that's just what pastors are.. but calling that a reflection on lana comes off as purposefully obtuse and is a disingenuous critique of her as an artist/person who has done/said so many things that make it obvious, especially to a real fan, what she believes and what her intentions are

also it's inflammatory to call him a rapist when there aren't even allegations made against him

(that i know of - please do correct me if i'm wrong)

Honestly listening parties for this album was a weird idea, especially for how pensive it is…..but glad we are getting some promotion at least

    Listening party review-
was cute n vibey, about 100 people, most got posters and wristbands. A lot of chatting throughout so wasn’t a complete focused vibe on the music but was nice to meet a few stans and have a couple drinks at the bar that’s in the record store x Album was incredible, so much better than the l*aks, was great to hear it on proper HQ speakers. Grabbed a beautiful poster which I’ll frame and hang on a wall. Can’t wait for midnight tomorrow ❤️💅💅

I was thinking that  and a lot of these people probably haven’t even listened to the leaks so why would you want your first listen to be with a bunch of strangers in a crowded store?

I just came home from a listening party and the people there consisted of locals listening to taylor swift instead of Lana and not even knowing that we got to listen to the album two days prior release, a guy complaining about Jack Antonoff’s singing during Margaret and another American (mind you this was in Europe) who was rude towards the employees and rolled his eyes at everyone including me and my friend (and of course he managed to win the merch…) other than that the album was a masterpiece as always and I got a poster. Which is the whole reason I turned up.

I was just going to say.. i was thinking of going but listening to it standing in a crowded shop with strangers is not it. But hopefully people have fun!!

I’m assuming a good amount of people are going to the listening parties today, so just to clarify, even if you went to the listening party…
You must still use spoilers when describing the songs.

The album still hasn’t been officially released, so I hope I won’t be having to edit multiple posts today

still adoring The Grants as the albums opener, the final line being "It's a beautiful life, remember that too for me", it really sticks with you & that's good because it's the perfect sentiment to hold in your heart & mind as you work your way through the heavier, darker section of the album.. A&W-Interlude-Candy Necklace-Interlude-Kintsugi-Fingertips specifically.

    Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It gets real boring when reviewers and journalists keep banging on about Born to Die being criticised and her SNL performance, and people thinking shes fake blah blah blah etc. that was over 11 years ago! Time to move on. She has established herself now and is seen as one of the greatest song writers of the 21st century and is respected by her peers. So can they move the fuck on already.

I've been feeling kinda unbothered this week about the album (i guess due to stress with other things going on) but today the excitement has really hit me, like oh my god it's coming in two days. In two days i'm gonna be listening to 16 brand new tracks im scared ya'll

Yet another 4/5 review from a British publication. It counts for AOTY.
