has anyone ever told you that you'd be smarter with your opinion secured in your head only?

actually her job is to write and record music which she does (wonderfully, i might add)

This is very serious. You should speak to HR and have them give her a talking to.

I lowkey love that Taco Truck is so short. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that part of the song, but it's such a creative power move for her to give us one minute of a masterpiece and then say "although it seems I've gotten better, I can be violent too" right before she pulls the rug from beneath us and abandons the song completely to transition into a dirty remix of her most iconic song instead

wtf are you talking about? she's a singer, music is her job, it takes work for artists to write music, record vocals, work with producers to get the exact sound they want, and decide what gets released, she also does the occasional photoshoot or interview, also, not to mention the fact that it can take hours, days, or even months just to do one song, she shouldn't have to do anything she doesn't want to do, her job can be difficult, being famous isn't easy, but even if her job was easy or more like a hobby, she still doesn't owe anybody anything

Fingertips is the jewel of the album. Those strings mixed with her most revealing, and best, lyrics makes that song 3 minutes long. The fact that it's the lowest streamed song....it's the lack of taste from the masses, let me keep this frickin gem for myself then.

80/100 on metacritic now with Uncut 7/10 review added. From "Universal acclaim" the album is now "generally favourable reviews"

The fact that this album is struggling to be above 80/100 is a blasphemy. I call B.S.

I'm surprised more people haven't made the link between "his voice breaks at 2:05" and Kintsugi.

It’s not. The interlude is literally called Judah Smith Interlude.

The way Lana either created or further developed a style/subgenre of folk with this album. It's so trippy in such an organic and emotional way. A composer. (Thank you Jack too)

I mean this in the nicest and least pretentious possible: I feel sad for people who don’t vibe with this album and don’t consider it her best work. It’s one of the best albums of all time and my personal favorite album of all time. I’ve never seen her songwriting so strong or so personal, so creative (and lord knows she’s always been incredibly creative). This feels like the most Lana album we’ve ever gotten and the most of Lana we’ve ever been given.

I understand people have different music tastes and have different experiences and personal ties to certain albums or music. But I really don’t understand how, if you’re a true Lana fan, you don’t like this album or don’t consider it one of her best. I NEVER thought she’d be able to top NFR or her other albums, but this feels almost like it’s in a different realm for me. And that’s not me knocking on any of her past albums because I think just as highly of them as I ever have - it’s more of a testament to how highly I think of this album.
