    Just saw the Hope performance.

Heartbreaking. It just doesnt get more moving than this.

The backup singers add a ton to an already amazing song. The theatrical performance isnt brilliant for sure, but the narrative progresses anyway. Im almost sure it has to do with her being convicted in an asylum, as some have already pointed. The FBI could be part of the police that custodies the very institution gates, and the guys in white seem like its medical personal. It looks like her trying to scape and getting sedated. Reminds me quite a lot of Emilie Autumn's "Mad Girl".

it is so comforting and it reminds me of the songs from the barbie movies.

Now that one of her best works of art is out, can all the cocc and bb haters please recognize that those last 2 albums were beautiful and are right up there with this new album in the same sweet and personal genre... because for me, it was the culmination of those 2 that led to this PERFECT album and I am so happy!!! I am proud to say that I have always loved cocc and bb

I'm also relieved that she is feeling better about herself in this world where no one really deserves someone like her, she shines in her new songs.

The way this solidifies that Lana is the artist that everyone's favourite artist listens to and is inspired by

Yeah i dont get why people are so bothered by this one interlude. I'm not religious but i actually enjoy listening to it, it sounds creepy and dark and it's clearly an artistic choice to move the album forward. Also the preacher being included feels more ironic on lana's end, especially after american whore. Idk why some people are finding this so hard to understand. She's always been ironic in her music.

    Thoughts after the first day:

Would die for: Ocean Blvd, Sweet, A&W, Candy Necklace, Kintsugi, Fingertips, Paris, Texas, Let the Light In

Love love love: The Grants, Jon Batiste Interlude, Grandfather, Fishtail, Taco Truck x VB

Enjoyed, but not as much: Peppers

Not for me: Judah Smith Interlude, Margaret

re: JS Interlude: I really enjoy the instrumental, and the slightly unnerving vibe of it all. I understand how and why she included this on the record; just listen to what he’s saying and what comes before and after that track!! But I enjoy the record more when I skip it to be honest.

I *love* this record. There are some areas she’s explored that call so specifically to my life that I’m having a hard time fully listening to some of the songs. I just love her so much as an artist and person for being brave and telling these stories. And for making me feel seen as an emotionally-driven, complicated woman when I wasn’t always comfortable being that.

Thank you, Lanita!!! No one does it like you 🖤

I agree, I don't understand how some "fans" can call an album average and disappointing... We have to stop thinking that Lana makes music for us in the first place. Some of us forget that but it's funny because that's why we love her! She stays authentic despite the critics and she stands out. The fact that she is closer to religion has also played a big part in her journey, so I understand and think that is essential in her music.

Im not saying that every fans have to love everything she is doing! Im talking about selfish and harsh critics. The ones who do not respect her work. I understand that can be dumb but i really feel like its unecessary to say that one album is objectivly bad. And yes i don’t think that these people are fans.

Yes of course she is making music to share but i feel like some critics are too harsh… Thanks for appreciating and its normal that some albums don’t resonate with us. I wanted to talk about a part of the fan’s critics not all of them
