melanie needs a helpful vocal coach asap, especially on proper breathing techniques. you can’t sing well while dancing on stage and wearing a prosthetic costume without training. i’ve been watching melanie live for a long time and she’s always excessively out of breath while doing minimal movement, it’s not healthy at all.
 
i really wonder why some singers seem to not notice their issues and get it fixed with vocal training. i mean these aren’t even minor issues, it’s a big deal that she’s constantly straining and lacking basic support.

she’s battling with her larynx 

The way that mask gives ZERO emotion to her face is really off putting. Like watching a robot perform (not to mention the lip syncing). It could literally be anyone in that costume. Yeah no point in seeing her live.

These people are genuinely delusional… the way she's completely abandoned any childish themes/concepts, and they haven't even heard the new album, but they're still pulling this shit. Not to mention it's a fellow Sky Ferreira stan like?! hello, we've literally been stuck in the Masochism "era" since 2014, go complain about HER not releasing an album in 10 years and leave Melanie alone

After reading these last few pages, I think I might be the only person in this thread who loves the new look…

I think if you care that much about not wanting storylines then Melanie will never please you. It seems like it’s what keeps her passionate about making music. I think the reincarnation story is a good middle ground to please both fans who still love Cry Baby and the ones who want to move on. It’s just her consciousness in another body and I doubt it will really make a big difference that it’s her “soul” but probably just something to make the huge change hit less harder for the long time fans. 
 
I’m personally fine with the storylines as long as she doesn’t restrict herself to such strict themes like she did with K-12. The Cry Baby story was fine because there was so much to work with. 

am i the only one who likes k-12 the album AND movie on here…

Was just revisiting Collxtion I and wow what a bulletproof record. From the production to the lyrics to the imagery.
And what a time to stan her. Such a breath of fresh air in the pop landscape.
 
I hope she releases some music this year, I miss her presence in the scene.

exactly, like, I LOVE that she wants to do more than just release music and expand her artistry, but it's limitating if it's going to take 4/5 years every album release just because of a movie. I would love if she just released music videos with story telling, the budget she got for K-12 would give us way better visuals if she used it for separated music videos

Holestly, I dont care one bit for the film… I Just want the music… pretty sure stand alone music videos are more her “forte” 
 
Also the first snippets instrumental sounds a little like a rework from Garden. If thats the case I hope she also rework a Dragons Blood, Tunnel Vision and Void… those are excellent

Didnt she learn with K-12 that teasing all the álbum Kills the hype completely? If she just released some singles and then the album I think It would be much more succefull. Surprised the label allways lets her get her way
