Exactly, LFL and Love fit perfectly together, Cherry fits in too and based on the demo, BAR will flow just as easily. We hear ONE snippet out of 5 songs that sounds different and all of a sudden the album is a mess and everywhere?.....so dramatic, yall need to calm the fuck down, we havent even heard the ASAP track in full yet.

Thought we were getting a retro-futuristic record, then thought we were getting a thematically witch-y record.... then I thought we were getting a politically aware flower child record with Sean Lennon and Stevie Nicks.... then I thought we were getting a "beatsy acoustic" record.... and now.... now, my friends, I don't know what the hell we are getting but regardless I know the good sis will deliver and snatch my weave when July 21 comes

Unapologetic by Rihanna was so critically acclaimed by fans, the gp, and critics. its extremely diverse. Hip Hop, rap, piano ballads, pop, edm, raggae, disco, etc.

idk why y'all think this much diversity is wrong. critics and the gp rip her because they say all her songs sound the same and now that she's switching it up its bad?

    can't please anybody

Well, I think that they suffer or want suffer or are simply insufferable for the sake of being so, depends on the individual, I guess.

It wasn't like that in the very beginning. This fanbase has attracted some very fragile ppl over the years.  And I agree, they most likely have not processed for themselves that in order to sing about the damage that has been done to you, you have to be in a place that most likely is not healthy. While great music can sometimes come from a place or depression and sadness, it doesn't have to be like that.

And the problem when you are in your 30's and a big chunk of your fanbase is half of your age, is that when you change as an artist and person, your listeners mostly won't. And they do not care that being depressed, anxious or tortured is not good for you. They want you to feed them.

So how is my life now that I'm free from the Lust For Life hell?

Today I woke up earlier full of energy. I've stretched. Physical activity? No prob fam. I had decent breakfast & then lots of fruit that I bought today as I was taking a WALK. A walk? Fresh air during pre-release period? Yes, that's possible. Then I watched some educational programs as I put some face mask on. All FANCY, FAM. Now I'm casually checking Lanaboards before actual STUDYING knowing that I'm BEYOND MELTDOWN and I don't need you stressing me out Lana. Not anymore. My sunday was nice, warm, full of smiles and absolutely no thoughts on the dAMN ALBUM.

    :legend:
Jk I'd still lowkey care if Ben started some new drama but shh

History was made July 21, 2018 chart, when  Lana's Born to Die  has spent 312 weeks on the chart- SIX FULL YEARS
This thread started back the week of May 27, 2017 Billboard magazine chart issue, when Lana hit 275 weeks
on the Billboard 200 Album charts (this is the every genre, all album, old and new from the first charts to the current chart, best selling)

ON JAN. 16, 2018, FOR THE CHART DATED JANUARY 20, 2018, LANA ACHIEVED HER 300TH WEEK ON BILLBOARD 200 ALBUM CHART.
ON JULY 21, 2018 CHART- LANA NOTCHED THE 312TH WEEK, 6 FULL YEARS ON THE CHART.

    background-
Lana Del Rey now proudly is in the Top 25 Albums of all time based on weeks on the chart, six full years
Only 24 albums in history have been on the chart for 300 or more weeks (it doesn't have to be consecutive)

And is now #3 for all female artists, all genres.

This achievement cannot be taken away, each week on the chart adds to the length of time,
and though like in baseball, others may reach the level, each person on the list has achieved history very few have.

nice to see Rick Newells agrees with me
    from the above interview-

Where do you feel this album fits into Lana’s catalog overall?
Lana is a career artist, a defining artist of her generation. I see her as a link on the chain along with Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, and all the great once in a lifetime singer/songwriters. She’s created her own language and her own genre. She’s always inspired and actively creating her body of work. This album is her next offering.

The way that Lana & her team have handled this has been rather poor but some of your meltdowns are just...
