Escapism liked a post in a topic by Cashew in How do you envision music videos for Lana's songs?
I imagine Jealous Girl music video features a young blonde girl in a cheerleader outfit stalking a guy around school while there are shots of Lana singing in the gym with cheerleaders dancing behind her. The girl has strong feeling for the guy but the guy likes someone else. Music video ends with the girl kidnapping and killing the guy, with the final shot being Lana and the cheerleaders looking at the camera all covered in blood. It's so much better in my head than how it is written down right now.

I hope she doesn't release a boxset right now but does a re-release of the album with a boxset, just like Paradise, her best and most complete boxset with all the videos, remixes, etc

Watch her bring back Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls for her next album.

Also that thing about plastic surgery is f'd up... She had her nose done at a very young age and her lips were absolutely her own idea. She wouldn't have gotten so offended by the criticism towards her face if it wasn't this way.

I'd like to think none of it, but I can see them controlling at least some of her style. Luckily, her lyrics and song style is still relatively the same from Lizzy. Of course, we do have sources (notably Woodkid) saying Lana is very in control of her image and what she does.

Lana was taken down like Hillary was with a coordinated anti-women media including the abysmal NBC(Trump's station) anchorman Lying Brian Williams who character
assassassinated her professionally when she did SNL because never before has there been a female singer who did things her way like the boys who came before
and Lana wasn't a puppet like all the Motown artists and Phil (gonna die in jail) Spector females where the male abused the woman singer (Like Ike did to Tina,
and Sonny controlled Cher). (or how most black singers were stolen from by the white record company bosses.
However, as far as story, Honeymoon, Ultraviolence and Paradise were full, true concept albums, which only part of Born to die is. And vocal wise, Lana has
bested each album, and Honeymoon is just perfect. (Must take an 11 year old not to be able to fully comprehend the very complex meaning of Honeymoon
btw- Born to die (the paradise edition) is still on the Billboard Top 200 album chart going on 5 years now. (including the new chart its now 255 weeks)

OMG :hdu:
the most confusing thing with azealia is that sometimes when she's saying 'problematic' stuff she is actually right about a lot of things...

I actually disagree, Lana stood up for herself way more that she has done in any other album Imho (Or probably is a mtach with UV), I feel like she's in way more control of the relationship in this album.
Lines like:"But you don’t go, ‘cause truly there’s nobody for you but me" "It's all a game to me anyway" "The truth is I never bought into your bullshit, When you would pay tribute to me" "Salvatore can wait, now it's time to eat soft ice cream", even in Freak I feel she's the one in charge and in 24 it almost feels like is threatening letter to his lover.

remember when we thought honeymoon would be the album where lana finally stood up to her man, but it turned out to be the whiniest lana album to date

somebody should tweet this to lana!
and I also wish she would return to this sort of storytelling like on BTD. And like he says it, she is NAILING every single chorus. She also nails every single bridge on this album,
I know it's popular on here to bash BTD because it was so successful and some ppl on here feel superior when they like UV or HM more, but damn her ability to tell a story on BTD was simply on another level.

I don't think Lana is into suing fans like... some artists. Taylor Swift

As destructive and depressive as her relationship with Barrie may have been, I really think that he benefited her in terms of creativity. No wonder we got so many lackluster lyrics on Honeymoon because she was together with Franny who just didn't inspire her the same way. Hope Jonathan Wilson injects some fire into her lyrics and we get some interesting stuff on LDR5

so many things are connected with weddings. the ultraviolence video, that photo of her in a wedding dress with johnny blue eyes, the honeymoon album title, black beauty, etc.

Fine China and Yes to Heaven should have made it to the bonus tracks of UV
i dont mind spending more money for a super deluxe version for UV
they're so good.

Lana needs to continue this style of lyricism. It's much more open to discussion and interpretation than "stranger than a stranger", per say.

this is obviously about Barrie. She was there for Jaime's son's birth and at that time she was with Barrie. Maybe it's a true story and Barrie actually left with his stuff while Lana was there? It then caused her to say they were over in an interview. They were also engaged, too.

Kinda feel bad because everytime Sitar is done with another update, more songs leak. I'll be waiting for the next update
