I never said anything about there needing to be news, I was just talking about her next album And that's fair enough if you disagree and think that she's not trying anything new for the next record... I personally disagree as I think every album she has ever put out has been completely different to its predecessor.
 
I already explained my reasons as to why I think that.... She has changed up her show by adding back up dancers and choreography and switching around some of her songs (like today she just sung Old Money, which she has only done at a few select shows) + has been working with people other than Rick and is probably aware of the common opinion that many of her fans have that her next album should be something with a bit more energy than HM. All of these factors, to me, give me hope that she will not put out another album in the vein of Honeymoon. 
 
Also, I never said that I thought she was still working on the album, as for all we know, it could certainly be finished at this stage, but the fact that she has been waiting and hasn't said anything yet indicates to me that she is waiting for the right moment because she wants this next era to be special. And again, I didn't say anywhere in my post that she needs to go for #1 singles. I completely agree with you in the sense that she should be working towards putting out great music over being commercial, all I was saying was that she needs to create good music that is different to what she has already put out.

it was amazing I couldn't get barricade because I saw other bands at other stages but I wasn't that far and could see her perfectly, Grimes played right before her and it was so amazing too I felt ALIVE. She looked so beautiful and her vocals were good too, I'm happy she performed almost the whole set except for Ultraviolence and Freak, I really wanted to hear Carmen and SK. She sang like 2 mins of Old Money and she couldn't remember the lyrics we asked for a lot of songs, she heard the chanting for Art Deco and was like "um wow Art Deco, we don't really have that one, I don't think I even remember how it goes" and the she hummed the chorus and sang the "baby, you're so ghetto" part, before Carmen people asked for Shades and she was like "we haven't done that one yet *silence* we'll do Carmen" lmao I laughed. She looked really happy and was enjoying herself! She came down to take photos and sign stuff like three times. When she was about to play Yayo, she started playing the first bit of Brooklyn Baby and eveeryone including me was losing their shit and then she just started Yayo Casual fans around me were talking before she went on stage, they were saying stuff like "she's obv not doing old songs like Video Games or Summertime Sadness y'all, I think she's gonna play mostly songs from the newer records" I was just like if y'all knew... 

not that im unhappy.. cuz she looked gorgeous and sounded great and seemed so happy and perky! im slaiinnn but
 
how the tf am i supposed to get through whats slowly turning into the chittiest year of my life since 2013 with not even a sliver of acknowledgement of a new album from the queen, 
 
how am i supposed to keep going on when this iconic godly beautiful talented angel cant even come through with any of her best songs live ? (soc, tbd, freak, WEST COAST)

I hope Lana has her hair done up real big beauty queen style tonight! I wanna see glamorous Lana tonight and I don't want her to wear those little white shoes or a white dress! 
 

I read some stuff here and I actually start to wonder if some of you appreciate Lana's work or is just expecting that she will release something that you want to listen.
Like, it's her creation, and her art. If you don't feel connected anymore (or is touched by what she's been expressing), maybe you should rethink if she's an artist you like instead of whishing she would go back to sing the only sound and atmosphere you expect. If you don't feel this brightness anymore (as so many of you say), maybe one option would be to look forward to artists that come closer to what you relate. But, most important, to keep respecting the work Lana does. I read some stuff here that I think are extremely offensive and if she was here herself she would probably question why you are interested in her work anyway, being just like the media that sucked her in the past.
I didn't want to say anything just to be the annoying one, but what really bothers me is seeing so much disrespect and, mainly, the depreciation of her art, inputtted as "opinions". It's disheartening, I thought coming to LanaBoards I would see people praising, analysing, being proud of her work and thrilled by the person she's becoming over the years, 'cause she had a tough life and had to overcome a lot to be where she is today.
it's really tiring, you know.

Lana seems to be into r&b and rap which is probably why she's collabing with him or they're really good friends

No one come for 'The Other Woman" She sounds so good and her voice definitely teleports me to a whole new era. . You can really hear her singing on an old microphone on that one. It sounds so vintage and so beautiful. Perfect song for the end of the best album ever

Trump supporters can choke. The fact that they try to justify voting for this sexist, homophobic and all around HORRIBLE person is RIDICULOUS.

I saw this on reddit and I think this is extremely important. I don't care if you're anti Trump or pro Trump, this affects absolutely everybody. It affects people across the world, it affects the people in our nation. It affects you, your children, your grandchildren, their grandchildren, etc. Please take your time to read. I'm absolutely horrified. 
 
"Climate is the biggest concern I have by a landslide. Trump's 100 day plan includes allowing for coal/oil/shale extraction from protected sites, a strong arm for pipelines through protected areas (specifically pointing to Keystone as his champion cause), promises to gut $50 billion of environmental spending to UN programs, promises to undo sanctions on pollution, and also has a bunch of clauses which, if implimented, would impact all fields, but including and especially climate science (such as his desire to require two regulations be removed arbitrarily if one regulation will be passed).
He is appointing a leading climate change denier to the EPA, which he has discussed dismantling all together. He has discussed removing the FDA all together, removing educational advisement from his cabinet, and rewarding companies with tax incentives to expand in destructive areas while simultaneously promising to remove the restrictions put in place to mitigate harm done to the environment in the process.
A lot of this he can get done via executive order. A lot of it beyond that he can get done with house and senate support, which he has.
This is not an instance of conspiracy theories or "what ifs" being thrown around. He has promised these things, and has the tools to deliver. It would literally take him saying "naw nevermind" to stop this from happening.
Any one of the items listed above would cause damage to the environment that will take decades, if not longer to reverse, if it even can be reversed at this point, during a time that we are already losing an uphill battle to protect our environment. And he's not talking about one item. He's talking about all of them, and has the ability, and intent, to do everything he says.
And that's just enviroment. People have a right to be afraid. I would be afraid with a Clinton presidency because I wasn't sure she'd do enough. I would be afraid with a blue house/senate to stand in Trumps way, because I'd be worried they wouldn't do enough. What we actually have, is a scenario where people who deny climate change are now in un-checked power, and are salivating at the chance to make a quick buck off immeasurable damage to our planet.
The planet will recover and move on, the question is if we will be around when it happens. This is not an issue that we can really afford to "wait 4 to 8 years and vote better next time." We have already reached the emergency point according to any scientist worth listening to.
Forgive me if I don't see much opportunity for "it won't be so bad" when it comes to specifically climate change. I could ignore everything else he's doing (which I won't, but we're speaking hypothetically here) and I think stress and alarm is still perfectly in the scope of reason regarding his promises. Even if we "think" he'll do a ton of damage, but he only does a lot of damage, the damage is too severe and has ramifications too drastic to ignore."
