I don’t even understand the narrative that her label diluted Sucker. Literally who was doing a pop punk sound at the time I was genuinely obsessed with that album and found it really interesting. I mean songs like Breaking Up, Need Ur Love, Body Of My Own... WOW. I don’t even get the Break The Rules hate. The production is insane and honestly to me sort of sounds like what a PC-punk fusion would be. The only place I see label intervention on that project is Boom Clap which sticks out like a sir thumb but even that isn’t a bad song, it just doesn’t sonically represent the album

there's something to be appreciated about how successfully she pulls off the classic 1960's American pop sound

I have not listened to any of the leaked songs yet - are they worth a look? I was genuinely offended by how atrocious the remix album was (that painfully uninteresting and out of key Levitating remix specifically) so I've been hesitant to hear any scrapped songs as I really do enjoy the standard version of the album (minus Boys Will Be Boring). Still confused as to why Love Is Religion is out in a remixed form but not in an original form?

I'm honestly not excited about this project, as much as I like Kiiara. The singles are very boring and sound like they're from 2016 (they probably are). So far, everything from LKS sounds more cutting edge and interesting. The production on the new songs are just so cheap sounding it's hard to listen to. I'll keep bumping LKS and Again, it's interesting how Terror Jr basically delivers everything I used to expect form Kiiara so at least we have them.

I didn’t say plastic, use your brain https://www.amazon.com/Feeke-Reusable-Washable-Fashion-Bandanas/dp/B088WJ13BC/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=clear+mask&qid=1601679459&sr=8-3 https://www.amazon.com/Feeke-Reusable-Washable-Fashion-Bandanas/dp/B088WJ13BC/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=clear+mask&qid=1601679459&sr=8-3

Maybe there’s a clear layer of thin plastic or something in the mask?? Or something of the sort? Bc I’m sure the place she’s doing the signing at wouldn’t allow her to wear something that could get people sick

NOT THE MESH MASK GIRL WHY

I really hope she finds a new producer. I’ve always liked her and LOVED Crybaby but her music has lost its color. Her vocals are great and I don’t even mind the repetitive themes, I just can’t get into these bland instrumentals she’s been serving since K-12

Something to consider is that the audience listening is expecting to hear music, not spoken word poetry. Unless somebody is a Lana stan, and a really dedicated one at that, I highly doubt anyone would willingly listen to 45 minutes of whispery poetry. that being said, I think it’s likely she’ll perform maybe a new song or two AND some poems speak about both the process for both works

I'm really scared for this new era. The whole "Top40" thing is worrying. If she makes boring, generic radio fodder im unstanning for the era.

K-12 wasn’t good so I’m not particularly excited for its leftovers if they’re even poorer quality than that. Hope her next album is more similar to Crybaby
-
I miss her Cry Baby sound so much, K-12 was just not it. Something is really lacking about the production, which is ironic because it’s sort of similar to CB but lacks the darkness and detail. Did WDBCF? leak yet? That’s kind of her best song... along with Bombs On Monday, Sippy Cup and Pity Party

February 2017 Click Official Controversial option, but NLC sounds odd to me - the mixing of the snares just throws the whole song off for me, it’s a weird sensation idk how to describe it but something just sounds off

Anybody know why I Finally Understand has been charting on US iTunes lately? It was 76 on pop yesterday and has since dropped to 96... a hit on our hands ladies?

UV = NFR > BTD > Paradise > LFL > Honeymoon

Isn't the point of spending 2 years working on an album to... release it?

Can everybody leave her alone and worry about the issues at hand? I frankly don't give a fuck if she puts a "baddie" pic into a post of her LITERALLY PROTESTING AND SPREADING THE RIGHT MESSAGE.
-
I used to like her but all of her production sounds so cheap and dated. She has such a unique voice though
-
Not to sound like my dad but why is everybody so easily offended? Most of these celebrities vote democratic and donate large amount of money to philanthropic organizations helping these causes. Calling out somebody for editing a post to match their aesthetic is ridiculous. People need to focus on the REAL issues... like black and brown people being murdered by white cops.

I just can't stand Kehlani and Tinashe acting like they're the moral supremes when they literally also were posting pictures of protesters where they are clearly identifiable...
