My interpretation is that it will be an album track, but she's trying to make it clear that it's not the lead single or anything. Just a preview.

I'm so glad he pointed out the lack of excessive reverb on the track -- I think that's been something that's gotten under my skin for a while with Lana's music, but I couldn't pinpoint what was irking me until he mentioned it.

 

And, as much as I love Rick Nowels, I'm really refreshed to hear a new Lana song produced by someone else. Things were getting a little stagnant Anyway, she better work with Mertens again in the future, or I riot

It seems now when things just get released unplanned then they become bigger than they would have been because it creates a buzz and people talk about how it was a shock. Then when you hear it you want to find out more about it, so it kind of works better to get publicity and then leave people wondering and checking back to see if the person revealed anything about it.
