I also couldn't make a connection between Wild At Heart and Hope.... The only thing from Norman that I can detect on WAH is basically those bells or wtv you call them that are the same as the ones used on How To Disappear. However, I like them a lot more on WAH bc it somehow adds a little more to the song, and they blend quite good.

Spoiler

I feel like she had to change the production on HTD because there were already a few piano ballads on NFR. Maybe to keep HDT on the album she took the production from an already produced WAH to change the sound. It would make sense because some of the bells and sounds on HTD feel like an afterthought and fit WAH much better.

Maybe WAH was the original. Depends on when it was made

To the people who have listened to the album already and are into the way it sounds, production, mixing etc. Do ya'll think this album is better than NFR in terms of that?

I really can't tell lol. For example NFR sounds normal to me.

Spoiler

i feel like yosemite has this feeling of intense, everlasting love, almost to the point of obsession, yet i feel like there's a stark contrast with the relaxing, stable vibe of the song, it's almost like her & her lover are the only people on earth, and how they feel for eachother is the only thing that will matter, because nobody else could feel how they feel, and it's just them, together, somewhere far away in nature, which is what she said the song was about, i know that's really sappy but that's how i interpret it, it's more in-depth, yet it's kinda hard to articulate it because i'm very abstract with how i interpret stuff like that, for me, it's a lot more intuitive

I'm really scared for the reviews. :poordat: Like genuinely. :poordat: The anxiety is hitting me today.

I kind of hate that I love the album so much because I'm going to get so mad if critics trash it.

I am no way a « production guru » lol. I loved NFR. But Chemtrails seems to have more layers to it? It’s also more varied when it comes to instruments... and yet, there are a couple of audible imperfections that are cute IMO.

A Mood :ma:

"Swan Song. It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon."
