it really is time for her to just do a surprise drop honestly. i don’t think “eras” are expected of her anymore, a surprise release would be all the more exciting considering how quiet she’s been about making the album compared to years past, she obviously doesn’t give a shit about promotion, and i really don’t think her sound is changing drastically enough anytime soon that would warrant a single release to ease people into a new artistic direction. and she WANTS to do one. i just really want to open twitter on a random night to everybody freaking out about the release of an album nobody knew anything about
