It's probably the most early 10s sounding music in terms of production, Primadonna sounds like it's straight out of Teenage Dream and HTBAHB has an EDM drop... Just because she's utilising 50s imagery doesn't mean the sound is vintage too, the sound is very much bubblegum pop and very much new As for the lyrics while I agree Froot has some of her strongest songs (Froot, Happy, Immortal, Solitaire) it also has some of the weakest choruses (I'm A Ruin, Blue, Weeds, Forget), which I love, don't get me wrong, but it's not as consistent with the quality of the writing as it is with the production, the themes, the visuals or literally anything else 2 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

If we take the Dr Luke tracks out of the album, EH doesn't have that early 2010's sound at all.
