OK glad we can agree on the first two, but I still think it’s “my body marred my soul”!
 

If we say it’s “mind”, the full lyric would then be “I can’t help but feel somewhat like my body, mind, my soul.” This feels like a redundant thought because, as a person, Lana is her body, mind and soul. Of course she’s going to feel like her body, mind, and soul. This doesn’t add anything to the narrative of the song. 

“I can’t help but feel somewhat like my body marred my soul” makes more sense to me———because this means that her body and her physical being have taken focus away from her soul. This links to the next line: “handmade beauty sealed up by two man-made walls”. 
 

So, like the beauty of the tunnel not being appreciated by the public because it was sealed up, Lana’s soul (and true inner beauty) is not being appreciated by the public because her body has “marred” it.

I don't want to give LanaBoards a grammar lesson, but it's clear that the second is not grammatically correct by any standard 

 

there isn't another "my" in between body and mind.. and it does make sense? it's like a trail of thought.. "i can't help but feel somewhat like my body mind my soul" and then in between this line and the next line it can be inferred that lana is thinking that her body mind and soul are somewhat related to the next line, which refers to the tunnel, setting up the entire metaphor the song is about in the first verse.. and obviously it isn't grammatically correct but since when have lana's lyrics been confined by the rules of english grammar

Anthology book fiasco But also her lyrics have been incorrect in her CD booklets before iirc so I'm not even sure if an official Lana lyric book would be 100% accurate  I remember specifically a TIWMUG lyric being wrong

I can hear mind too but marred just objectively makes more sense considering the following line; handmade beauty sealed up by two man made walls, marred literally means “to impair the appearance of”. it makes absolutely perfect sense in the context of the song and it connects to the metaphor throughout the entire thing and it’s beautiful. even if it’s not marred i’m choosing to believe it is

I enjoy discussing these lyrics so my final conclusion statement:

My soul = handmade beauty

marred = sealed up

My body = man made walls

She’s saying that the handmade beauty of the tunnel being sealed up by man made walls is equivalent to her body marring her soul (her soul, her true self being the tunnel she doesn’t want to be forgotten)

right i feel like “my body marred my soul” is the thesis for the whole song, a lot of people have been wondering what the tunnel under ocean boulevard is specifically a metaphor for and that line tells us straight up. on the outside people don’t see her for who she truly is
