I think what she's saying is that people saw her for her beauty (Young and Beautiful - "will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?") and didn't recognize the true beauty of her soul and what's inside

 

So therefore, the perception of her outwards appearance overshadows what is on the inside, it marred it, much like the tunnel that is beautiful on the inside, but forgotten about because of what's on the outside

If we say it’s “mind”, the full lyric would then be “I can’t help but feel somewhat like my body, mind, my soul.” This feels like a redundant thought because, as a person, Lana is her body, mind and soul. Of course she’s going to feel like her body, mind, and soul. This doesn’t add anything to the narrative of the song. 

“I can’t help but feel somewhat like my body marred my soul” makes more sense to me———because this means that her body and her physical being have taken focus away from her soul. This links to the next line: “handmade beauty sealed up by two man-made walls”. 
 

So, like the beauty of the tunnel not being appreciated by the public because it was sealed up, Lana’s soul (and true inner beauty) is not being appreciated by the public because her body has “marred” it.

okay but... the imagery in these lines is CRAZY... mentioning hotel california by the eagles (recorded in florida) and camarillo state hospital – hotel california is rumored to be written about camarillo – and "silver mirrors" which reminds me of sylvia plath's poem mirror which begins with the line "i am silver and exact" and is about being faced with objective truth and this truth not reflecting who you think you are... she is a genius

i can't wait for the rest of the album, ocean blvd is just more and more interesting lyrically the more you dig into it, the use of metaphor and cultural references is incredible and i'm so so excited to hear everything

im sorry for everyone but even when the album drops title track might not even move from my top 3… it is a masterfully planned song… the lyrics the composition THE VOCALS and above all that.. THE BEAUTIFUL BUILDUP and as you say the beautiful imagery that even without a music video we can still picture the song perfectly… it is just a PERFECT song
