  • The Blackest Day
  • Swan Song
  • Kintsugi
  • Bel Air
  • Living Legend
  • Cherry Blossom
  • Grandfather please stand on th shoulders of my father while he’s deep-sea fishing

in that order and end it with interlude - the trio :suicide:

Her entire discography will play at my funeral and no one is allowed to leave till it’s finished :true:

May both you and Lana live long enough so that your funeral is a multi-day long affair

1. sweet carolina

"so don't write me a letter, i'll always be right here

closer to you than your next breath, my dear"

2. thunder (instrumental)

2nd fav on blue banisters

3. fine china

"im going down, down" yeah six feet underground

also fav unreleased lana song

4. cherry blossom

im a lil ghost

i put ppl i like high

one of my fav lana songs

5. old money

if u call, ill come, or at least my spirit

one of her saddest uv songs, next to black beauty

6. black beauty

my favorite lana song, as everyone in my life knows

life is beautiful, even without me in it

7. the greatest

i truly was the greatest

i signed off

ppl need to hear the beat drop and guitar solo and think of me

8. living legend

bit ironic since ill be dead

blackbirds will be singing

just such a sad song, "what i never said," etc etc

3rd fav on blue banisters

9. angels forever, forever angels

hehe

10. get free

i legit crossed the threshold of life and death

i went out of the black and into the blue

i became free

I don’t think I want any song to play at my funeral TBH, although many Lana songs would be « perfect » for it. A song played at a funeral gets way too deeply associated with someone’s service and it makes it almost impossible to listen to it again afterwards for the people who were there (my ex mother-in-law said she wanted to have What a Wonderful World played at her funeral and just thinking about it, it became hard to not associate the song with her death - and she wasn’t even dead!!!!)

The Grants would be beautiful. I already cry to that song.

when you leave all you take is your memories

and I'm gonna take mine of you with me"

I'd pick 'Say Yes To Heaven' even though I don't think I'm gonna go there when I die, we love the irony:silly:

But it would also depend on the date of the funeral cause I usually listen Lana's music based on season (so in the summer I'd listen to her older work as Lizzy Grant, fall and winter would be Ultraviolence, fall would be COTCC and so on) idk if anybody else feels the same.

But on a more serious note, if the dj plays the Ultraviolence album it's gonna be perfect (no matter what season it is).

The song that comes to mind is Ride.

I don't know but I feel like it's a song that's just so... alive? Full of freedom and beauty and hope? If that makes sense? And I'd like my life to be celebrated or remembered like that.

Beautiful! Would be my second choice.
