Time from link activation to announcement varies from 1 day (Ocean Blvd) to 33 days (Chemtrails), and the time between link activation and release ranges from 33 days (NFR) to 108 days (Ocean Blvd). Also, announcements don’t follow a strict day-of-week pattern but most often occur mid-to-late week (Wednesday or Friday).

The link for the new album was activated around today (as far as we know), and the album's target release date is May 21st, so we’re looking at an announcement window between December 29 and February 3. My bets? Probably a Wednesday (January 17) or Friday (January 19). But for some reason i do have a feeling we will get some crumbs before the year ends or right after it begins. That's it. Lanalysis complete. Taking my meds after this.

Yeah they used to take a lot of time cause we were in a pandemic, a lot of pressing plants were closed and the demand was suddenly really high but now that the industry knows people love vinyl again (at least in the mainstream, I know they were always big in music circles) they probably have it figured it out already.

 

I guess it also depends on the label and the volume, it's not the same releasing a standalone limited variant (Dua's case) than 3-4 variants for an actual studio album (Lana) but I think around 3 months is a realistic timeline now

It really depends on the market tbh. 2024 was jammed-packed with new releases and we were back with the same delays as the pandemic era.  In December, the big frenzy of major releases of 2024 had died down, and this is how I explain Dua pulling out a vinyl release in less than three months.
 

Another major factor to consider: how many vinyls does an album have? Don’t know about Dua’s but Lana pretty much always has two, whci takes longer (which is why we like 15 variants of COCC: there was only one vinyl). 

What I don’t know is whether or not a label can “jump the queue” for a major artist… Lana is a bestselling vinyl artist, so could Interscope / Polydor “accelerate the process” a bit? Billie posted three months prior to release that her album was mixed and ready (although Billie is suspected to “play” with the dates of her publications a bit: her remix of L’amour de ma vie seems a bit suspicious to have been made in 24 hours like she claims, same with the date of the publication that the album was done).

Was it added recently? Cause it's probably a placeholder (we already had the title, alleged cover and date) but it's suspicious that stuff like this is popping out now suddenly

Guys, I don't know if you had noticed this already but this morning I checked Lana's followings on Instagram because I noticed that as of today, she followed 4 new accounts (for comparsion, yesterday she was following 649 accounts and today she's following 653 accounts). And I was scrolling the list to find something I hadn't seen before and I noticed that she might have recently followed Newport JAZZ Festival which is happening on August 1st-3rd, 2025. 

 

She was following Newport Folk Festival before, like since 2023 because she performed there the same year but I have never seen her follow Newport Jazz Festival. Unless, she was actually following it before but as chronically online as I am, also as someone who has checked her following lists like a lot, I have never seen her following that account before.

 

So it might hint she's performing there. Unless, she's just interested in it in general. But interesting is that it's a JAZZ festival, when it turns out that The Right Person Will Stay has hints of jazz as well!

She had already been following them! The additional people she recently followed were some of Jeremy’s family, I assume she spent the holidays with them.

Either way though, I would luvvv for some jazzy elements on the record as that’s always been my favourite sound from her xx
