This might be because their website functionalities are encoded with HTTP rather than HTTPS like ours, and even if they have a SSL certificate active like we do, some browsers may still regard the website as "partially insecure" because of these HTTP features. Recently, some browsers have begun to automatically block HTTP content. This is why using HTTP instead of HTTPS has been a work-around for some of our issues, as well as ensuring browsers are not blocking "partially insecure" content while browsing LanaBoards. However, with these updates, I'm hoping to provide a permanent fix! x

No, this isn't something that I ever thought to look into actually, I've never used the platform as a subscriber either so I'm not too familiar with it. I can look into this though if this is something more people are interested in. Currently, I accept site donations via PayPal and Venmo which has been the most convenient for me and 100% of donations go towards funding of the site. In return, members receive a few thank-you perks for a length of time that coincides with the amount donated such as the fancy purple name tag, larger profile pic upload sizes, unlimited private messaging space, and ad-free. These perks are something else I'm hoping to expand upon especially in the weeks following the update as I become familiar with some new potential perks I could offer! Additional supporter-exclusive themes are something I've wanted to offer for awhile, and it looks like these updates will make adding in themes easier for me so this can finally come to fruition x

To continue to keep you all updated - it will be another hour or so before we go offline for our server migration. My hosting company and I are still working on finalising the setup of our new server that we will be migrating to, but unfortunately there is a bit of a delay since they have been taking awhile to respond to me inbetween our correspondance. I'll post another update when we're closer to going offline. So, enjoy a bit more time of LanaBoards browsing! Also, as far as a timeframe goes for how long we will be offline for this migration, I am unfortunately unsure. My hosting company will be assisting me with the migration, and they aren't sure of a time frame either. It''s sort of a play as it goes situation. I anticipate it being done by the morning eastern time though! x
