TrashMagiq 55,336 Posted April 17 I'd say this album is better than Lover and Midnights, but def not as good as folklore, evermore, 1989 or Red. A lot of it sounds like Midnights in the way the 1989 vault tracks sound like Midnights. Obvs not the exact same, but Jack's been keeping that same production style which kinda feels worn out at this point. Not hearing her on those Midnights-y synths on the Aaron produced tracks felt refreshing. Not to beat a dead horse cause people have been saying this over and over again, but she really needs to ditch Jack for at LEAST one album. And I'm not even a Jack hater, I love a lot of his work, but his production on Taylor songs is starting to feel very same-y. Anyways, I do like this album. I can see myself listening to it a lot.
