I don't know what's going on in her headspace. but really that's the thing. she lied about september. and sure it happens almost everytime, but the silence around it's just. objectively, the words don't match w the actions or lack thereof. 

do w that what you will. 

I don't think it helps to really hyperfocus on her life and begin nitpicking her decisions and all that from what I guess is the album's delay mostly and respectfully as well the kind of man she married (which, it's just half not our business, but sure, it's concerning).  I don't think my opinion holds any true weight to things bc obvs. but maybe we can just leave her tf alone for now? 
I think this kind of dependence on having to nitpick all these things and wanting to express all these grievances and point them at her's just not. like why? 

clearly she doesn't give a fuck. or that much enough to  feel the need to elaborate, which goes both ways really. 
and i'm not going to ask for answers. she'll probably write a song or some about/ surrounding it. 

I'm really happy, and sincerely happy for her. congratulations, no matter how you look at it, a coming together, a union between 2 people with love's a beautiful thing.
let's just calm down. let her live her life. stop saying all these things, or projecting how things'll go. it's too much. it's not necessary anymore to the point of pointless echoing. 

clearly, all we can do's just be open to the music, so let's not get involved w things that we shouldn't be involved in. 

some of you's've just been expressing all these things and it's enough. take your frustrations and put them into productive actions instead of complaining about how she's not doing anything, or not keeping in line of your expectations. that's not her job, however or not you're disappointed. feel, think however you want, and you might force yourself to create some boundaries about this. but also, just remember to chill. respectfully speaking, it shouldn't have to be this deep regarding the need to have someone act in your ideals. 

yes she's a celebrity. express your need. but do it, and then move on. her decisions aren't yours. don't expect it to be. 

right purpose, wrong avenue. that's it. we need to move on from this. 

and let's be honest, do you really wanna just keep complaining? figure out other ways for yourself. 

give her some peace and quiet in contrast to everyone else. 


one day, she'll actually be genuinely tired of all this. do you really want to contribute more towards that?

Apparently the girl Lana mentioned in her post is a makeup artist who’s just on a side quest to track her I guess? this is so..

I wonder if the same couple she spoke about are the ones who flew the drones (?) over the wedding and sold the pictures? Do we know anything about that? I would have hoped privacy laws prevent this kind of behaviour 

 

Also, having thought about it for awhile, I'm assuming the paparazzi photoshopped her engagement ring to a pearl in order to create some kind of narrative about the fact that he can't afford to get her a diamond ring ... which would be really classist and stupid, but it's the only reason I can think of for such weird behaviour. Pearl rings are gorgeous anyway, and I doubt any Lana fan would care, especially not in the grand scheme of things worthy of caring about in relation to their marriage ...

With all due respect, the idea that fans should stop expressing their opinions because they’re Lana’s own decisions is crazy. While I agree that some of it is pointless because there’s no way Lana will listen to her fans, this is all still fresh and the fact is she married someone with very problematic beliefs that go against what the majority of her fanbase believes in. While some of us will remain fans, it’s still disappointing.

 

Also, saying that we as fans should keep our thoughts to ourselves and do something productive is wild considering the essay you posted

I think it’s awesome she follows the Lanaboards accounts. I’ve always thought it would be cool if, I mean, WHEN, @Elle talks to Lana again, if the site is brought up, maybe could ask Lana to do an AMA here. That would be insane. But I wouldn’t want it to be posted on the socials. It would have to be something none of us knew about until mere hours before happening. Or else the site would be flooded and we’d have 100k new members  

 

I want the OGs who have been here for years to be able to ask some questions. Or we could even prepare a list of like 10 questions for her to answer in one go so it would only take a few minutes of her time.

I honestly think Lana told us everything we need to know in the iconic Ride monologue; she "seeks safety in other people" so she likely chose Jeremy bc he makes her feel safe and/or like he can be her home. She has had liberal politics while living in California and influenced by her friends there, but she has "a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality" so she's leaning more conservative now bc of being in Louisiana and with Jeremy. This is her Southern Gothic era and she's all about it right now, but who knows who she'll be next?

 

Honestly if I were Jeremy, I'd be really scared bc she has always matched her man to whatever phase she's in (she was all about Sean in her Americana prairie phase, etc) but the phases change every couple of years.
