I hope eventually that enough years pass that Lana can love the production of the original AKA again.

 

Even if she does decide to re-record it for release, there HAS to be a disc 2 with the original versions!

i thought it was all but confirmed that it was delayed due to limited label funds for its release?

 

i consider it a 2008 album since it was recorded 2007-2008 but i think the 2009 date shouldve been its real release. smh

She got an almost $10,000 advance when she was initially signed, label funds had nothing to do with it.. I think her label just didn't believe in her enough, she said herself she was in a "bad deal", a $10,000 advance for 5 albums is blind robbery. I can only imagine finishing a record at Lana's young age & not being able to do anything with it for 2 whole years, that's probably the main reason why she's so weird about it now.

Such a masterpiece I can't put it into words... still her best project. I adore every song on it 

Listening to this album in tracklist order is such a great experience, the songs are diverse enough to stand on their own but fit together so well despite the various sounds she explores.
