I'm only listening to Birds of a Feather since it was teased on Heartstopper and so far I think it's incredible :oprah:

just finished the album.. wow.. she’s fucking taking it and I say this as someone whose never much liked her music until now  :brigitte:

wildflower, l’amour, chihiro, lunch, the diner and blue are my favourites from my first listen but there’s not a bad or unnecessary song on there the entire tracklist is a masterpiece

I knew buying a tour ticket based on a 20 second snippet of chihiro was not the wrong move   :true:

I know everyone says how much Billie has grown, but personally I also really like to see Finneas’ growth. His talent has expanded just as much as Billie’s!

Every song has a switch up which is really cool. But it’s almost every song which lessens the impact of the switch up in those songs. The progression becomes predictable. Like you need peaks and valleys on the album. If the album is all valleys or all peaks, it’s numb. I’m now expecting every song to have a switch up, which it did. That’s not that exciting anymore. It’s like if Ocean Blvd were full of songs like A&W, which sounds cool on paper. But I don’t think it would like it as much.

This albums feels like Ocean Blvd. In a sense that it’s structurally loose. Songs go places. L4na was really testing people’s patience. It’s a good idea on Billie’s part to make this type of structureless album short and with less songs for commercial purposes. If this album were any longer or slower, it would’ve been a huge flop (quality and numbers).

It's funny because it tries to subvert your expectations, and it does in a singular song, but as an album, it becomes predictable. And lyrically, it’s nothing special.

Still, overall, a solid album (sonically).

I warmed up a lot to her this year. To me, she is like a younger cousin to Lana who does bops, with a similar melancholy atmosphere

Chihiro is THE moment

I thought Chihiro was going to be the highlight of the album based on snippets, but L’Amour de Ma Vie CLEARS! :dance4:
