Lana Confessions

Also, I don't agree with people leaking *rather unpleasant* outtakes of her. like I really hated when GQ outtakes leaked only because it was a really bare pose, even one outtake showed her VAGINA.

Were the oddest fanbase of out all of them. everything we do is so different and unique compared to other fanbases like the Beyhive, Navy, Katy Cats etc.

Oh yes, that is the ultimate truth!!!! This fanbase knows how to do some digging, and it honestly is very uncomfy!

This isn't really a confession but yesterday for English class we had to do a read aloud presentation of literally anything from the literary world and read for 1-2 mins and I did the first part of burnt norton, like one stanza further than the interlude and I got an A for it. No one knew a) what it was b) what it was about except for my teacher and she loved my reading :)

Lana Del Rey will forever be one of my muses as in terms of song writing. I do not think I have ever fell in love with any artist before the way I have been with Lana :) *except for this one French singer Alizee, but she is so gorgeous*

I love that quote from her :)

her setlists are so tired.... why does she always pay her new albums dust on tour? she goes on tour after UV, and adds 2 unreleased songs in her setlist, and eventually takes brooklyn baby off the setlist. she goes on tour after honeymoon, and only sings 3 songs from it. im tired of hearing blue jeans and cola and cruel world. give me something new, girl

I love listening to Lana in my car (I have an hour commute to work) because I can sing along unabashedly (I don't have the best voice, let's just say, haha). Currently working on improving my singing to the chorus of "Shades of Cool," it doesn't sound nearly as bad as when I first started, rofl

Also, Video Games sometimes moves me to tears because it reminds me of the first time I ever heard it and how magical it was to me (and still is).

Ok pardon me I'm ashamed and this is very silly but basically I haven't been able to listen to Serial Killer since I saw Lana last year, almost a year ago. I'm still extremely sad. It's very bandwagon to say but it's deadass my favourite song (with YGLM, like I know I always say a thousand of songs are my favourite songs but these two are above it all and if I say otherwise it's a damn lie through my teeth) like for real it really really is. It's the song that got me into Lana which is the best thing that ever happened to me, etc. And Lana playing it before our show and iirc after (but I might be wrong) is something I haven't been able to get over yet. Especially considering how bad my experience of the concert was which is all my stupid fault. It's not her fault at all but it's something I have terrible trouble forgiving her. If she had played it I would have been able to pass over every other thing but I just hold onto it too much. I can't listen to the damn song I really tried but it just splits my heart in two, I was so ready to hear I was expecting it so badly and I felt really stupidly betrayed  Maybe in a few years I'll be able to listen to it again but for now I just know I fucking love it and I'm begging her to play it again :(

I used to listen the shit out of Paradise back in the day and I even got the physical EP on CD and two of the box sets (one signed which I bought when I went to Paradise Tour) and vinyl, I don't even listen to Ride or Gods & Monster anymore even though I loved them a lot. The only song that seems to make it to my playlists is Cola lol  :toofunny:

Quoting my own post to add this incredible video:

The perfect addendum to my post-- this completely sums it up. I'm so proud of her

Bless the person who put this together. She had so little and has so much now, makes me cry when I think of how fat she has come. And how she has stayed the same. She seemed so happy back then, I hope we get to see more of those smiles in this era.

It must have felt weird, being a nobody and suddenly having so many fans loving you... Lana deserves everything is this world. ❤️

And my confession... well, I sometimes start crying when I play Ride, at the bridge and the last chorus. It's just so good. And her voice is magical. And her passion in the bridge makes me cry.

New confession: I'd love it if Lana decided to bring back a little of the sassy lyrics we have in National Anthem ("he said to be cool, but I'm already the coolest"). I kinda miss her old lyrics from time to time, even though they could be quite old fashioned sometimes. :3

Lana needs to slow down on the lip injections and face fillers. She's so naturally beautiful. I'm not against surgery but... Lana is like, 10 lip injections away from looking like Priscilla Presley.

Honeymoon would've become a fan favourite if it wasn't for the poor single choices and the horrible visuals. Salvatore should've been the first single with a gangsta type MV shot in a raunchy Casino.
For this era the visuals have really saved the songs and the concept of the album because it does help to shape the artistic world which the songs are happening in.

I'm such a flop Reycist, I only just realised Lana is saying "With his ultraviolence" not "This is ultraviolence" in UV

Wait...WHAT?!

*goes to re-listen to the song*

...well i be damned

My friend first showed me Lana in 2011 and I thought she was the most boring, depressing singer ever and I remember seeing her on the voice and rolling my eyes before walking out the room.

2 years later, Video Games played on the radio in my old class when I was at school in a particularly stressful lesson. As soon as VG came on, it was like all the chaos in that class and all the stress in school melted away in that first opening note.

Before Lana, I didn't really get why some people loved music so much but as soon as I heard VG everything just clicked.  :flutter:
