Does't Capitol want to make money ? 

So this isn’t directly to do with sky but I feel like it sheds light on a similar artist on her label with a slightly smaller audience. Basically two days ago DeathByRomy who’s another artist who is signed to capital came out and spoke about the treatment of artists by their label. 

She states they dropped her while holding her under contract and are not letting her release songs she paid for herself. I don’t think the exact same thing has happened to sky as they’re not really trying to mold her a certain way anymore but I definitely think it sheds light on the experience of an artist working with Capitol, Why Sky hasn’t done a proper release in so long because a lot of what Romy said is similar to comments Sky made on the “not really” podcast episode about Britney.

But some of us are new fans too, and there's so much that we/I don't know about... Also, sometimes I want to stan, shitpost or go in depth about her without a character limit.

It’s such an extreme action to take for a thread just because she’s not released music for a while like it’s just over the top

I feel like whatever's going on behind the scenes has to be personal at this point. She has a great niche of fans that are waiting for her music after all this time so it's not like there's a lack of interest. She must've pissed the wrong person off by not complying with something. Sadly if she is locked in a contract, especially for X amount of albums, I don't see her getting out of this. Look at what's going on with Kesha, still under contracts with her abuser. 
 
I really feel for Sky and I hope one day she can at least be a little bit more vocal and transparent about what's going on so people who can't read between the lines stop attacking her :/ For now I'm just glad we have Ghost EP, NTMT and all the unreleased work. Her potential was completely wasted by these crooked label execs. 

I must get an option to block the rest of the forums then. This is the only decent place to discuss Sky that's not Twitter

there really is a conversation that needs to be had about why gays look for and feel the desire for straight men's approval on the music they like. this isn't even specifically about theneedledrop like there are so many straight male reactors with large followings on youtube that get on camera in a tank top and record a positive reaction to a pop song (that they would never listen to irl) because thats what will get them clicks

charli just said on instagram live that the deluxe is coming TOMORROW OH MY GAWWWWWD

She's predicted for #12 in the US, I don't get why she isn't doing signings in various major cities!! She's back in the US now, she did her UK promo, we need something for the US.
 
I'll be so impressed if she gets #12 on Billboard 200, because she's never charted that high. But she could be doing more to secure that & try to get top 10.

i hate the original deluxe cover just because it's a bad image... but with a lil reworking it became my favorite charli album cover ever

Proud of Charli for trending for a #1 album in the UK but it would be nice if she could offer at least a poster or 2 for the US angels or sumn

The original cover's very "crashed into girl who's this immovable object that somehow survived with some blood dripping down"
The deluxe is very "bloody demon girl jumping on car leading you to crash right after". The more I look at the deluxe cover the more obsessed with it I am. It's so eerie. There's murder in her eyes. It's like she's gonna devour whoever's in that car.

Every song on Crash really is a bop. The only one I don't care for is Every Rule because I'm not huge on ballads in general but it's good and I appreciate the lyrics. I also love that this album only has 2 songs with features, like this album really is just Charli's voice and I love that since she's been heavy on collaborating over the years which is great but I like that she took a step back from that to just create some solid solo pop songs.
