first off, she's not binding the books herself. that makes zero sense. this isn't a garage sale   I think she just meant she (herself) is getting them bound. I think what we're seeing on insta is just her organizing the order of things and maybe the real thing will be photocopies of her manuscript? IDK. Also OT, but the fact that some of y'all can still think she's a good lyricist after "If I pray really tight, get into a fake bar fight" honestly ASTOUNDS me

I can all but guarantee that 99.99% of the public won't even know she released a poetry book and nothing will be "ruined" whatsoever in that regard. Books are even harder to promote than music these days and she's barely promoting her music, so I expect literally nothing in terms of promotion beyond like...an Instagram post or two. That's not gonna reach the GP at all.

It would be a perfect modern take on the Lauren Canyon imagery - which Lana has repeatedly described the album as being influenced by. And it would fit well with the two VHS videos we have so far featuring rustic LA scenery.

Could be they think the poetry book will be publicity for the album. They know only Lana fans will buy the poetry but if they announce that then it will gain a lot of publicity that she has released poetry and then if she was to announce the album a week later they probably think the album will be more successful as a lot of people will check it having heard a lot about her releasing poetry the week before.

I feel like I would appreciate a poetry book more at a different time. Literally no one cares about it right now, we just want NFR. I know it's harsh but ugh...what is she doing??

Sometimes I get a feeling that she thinks she's a one hit wonder. She always hangs onto Video Games in interviews and at one point at a LATTM show she said something like "if you're a real fan, I know some people had been brought here by friends, you know..." blah blah. Like. It's your tour. Your fans are here, stans or not!

I completely agree with what you said here, I think she's lost her spark and it shows. You could tell at first she was so shocked & grateful to be performing for all these people, to have so many adoring fans screaming her name, shouting how much they love her -and I bet she was also worried she'd lose it all if she didn't keep fighting for it. But the very thing she spent years chasing, fame, ended up making her miserable instead of happy. Negative and often spiteful criticism, the typical invasion of privacy from paps all celebs have to deal with, stalkers, creeps, backstabbing hoes and clout chasers.... I think they ruined it for her. And I'm sure a lot has happened that we don't even know about, both in her personal and professional life. She spent years fucking with mostly younger, less successful men, who treated her quite badly. She hasn't had a baby yet, which is something she has wanted for years. Several projects of hers have fallen through, and she hasn't achieved half of what she should. We can only speculate as to why that is. It could be laziness/flakiness, it could be anxiety, or there could even be people in the industry causing her problems and actively sabotaging her. A lot could be going on behind the scenes that could have her feeling frustrated, tired, and doubting herself. I hope it's just a phase she will eventually get over <3
