A&W has the highest replay value of any Lana song from the past couple of years for me – it's a really great song and I even love the piano which is haunting and slightly ominous here.

    In A&W we got
    Laptop demo eerie vibes
    Lizzy guitars
    Upbeat 2011 unreleased vocals
    Paradise aura
    UV rawness
    NFR and Chemtrails samples
And the intimacy tinges of the new album

She really compiled everything Lana and evolved it into greatness

The outro will get all the attention but the first 4 minutes….

genuinely some of her most stunning writing/vocals and that rushed piano and guitar gives it such a sense of unease and urgency that has never been really present in her music yet

    She is just a gift

They way BOZ said that it's very likely that we don't have any clue about the album sound landscape now, so true.

I just want to say that after listening to the new single, I am 100% convinced that this will be her best album. I was already feeling that way after hearing the first single, seeing the imagery, and reading the titles & insider info, but now I have absolutely no doubt. This is it. We've known that Lana has always been a genius when it comes to her lyrics and melodies, but I feel her vision is stronger than ever. I've said it before, but I just know this record will contain some of her rawest, most personal writing mixed with brilliant creative sonic patterns we've never seen from her before. The past two singles prove it already. I am sort of at a loss for more words at the moment as I'm so overwhelmed, so all I can say is that I'm so proud of her and I can't wait to hear the rest of the record. The two singles have floored me enough already, I'm going to be in absolute shambles come release day x

Anyone who thinks this song needed to be split into two songs is WRONG. They literally flow so seamlessly

Honestly bad move for her career to change her name, but if she really wanted to change it she should've gone with Marina Diamandis, not just MARINA. like girl-

I tbh will never understand why her management let her change her stage name to just MARINA… like girl… it’s not a super unique name 😭 there are gonna be other artists named marina..
the amount of times random musicians songs have appeared on her artist pages is insane

also? sounds about as bland as her music became so maybe it fits idk, but at least matd or Marina Diamandis have a little spice to em

i know A&W is probably the next single, but this far into the album cycle i would rather have the next single (which will probably be the last pre-release single) be something more unassuming like Sweet. i would’ve gladly taken A&W a couple weeks ago, but the closer we get to the album the more patient i am becoming; i still want a second single but at this point i would like it to be something pretty neutral that won’t spoil the most exciting parts of the album
