  1. I like the idea and vibe of Lana being in rap songs but i have always zoned out in the rap parts
  2. So in the Fader interview, it says: We could go back to the start, she sings on the title track, but I don’t know where we are. I'm so confused. Did they hear this wrong? Or was that an original lyric that got changed?
  3. Another full circle moment: Back in 2013 I came across this "unreleased Lana song" called Ambulance, and i loved it so much. For a full 2 years I thought it was Lana, then I find out it was pitched and it's actually a singer called Coco Morier. It sounded way better unpitched. In 2019 or 2020 I heard Sky wrote Journey to the Center of the World and gave it to Coco Morier, so I thought that was a cool connection. Then yesterday I found out Ambulance was actually Sky's song too! Sky seems to be at the centre of the musicians I love, cause I very recently found out she wrote with Shirley Manson from Garbage- one of my first favourite bands.

  5. We don't talk about her best collaboration enough
  6. Another borderlands player! I've been playing Borderlands 2 again coz it's one of my faves, and I cannot wait for TTW. This weekend!!!!!!!
  7. Well let's just discuss her as if she's a retired artist then I remember Sky Ferreira! Hope she's doing well these days
  8. Unpopular opinion i guess, just spilling thoughts, not trying to rebuttal previous posts. The only song that sounds really dated to me on NTMT is Everything is Embarassing, because that's strictly a mid-2000s tumblr song to me and it never really fit on the album. NTMT was the perfect closing track. The rest of the songs had such a diverse sound, it gives me 80s and 90s vibes more than 2010s. Maybe I relate Sky more to the artists she is inspired by like Joan Jett, Fiona Apple, Blondie, etc, so I don't feel like NTMT is stuck in the 2010s in the same way Electra Heart or Badlands or Cry Baby are for example. It seems a bit more relatable to Ultraviolence not sounding like it's stuck there either. Not saying it's as timeless as UV, but maybe because I don't hear NTMT as the "signature indie pop sound of 2013"... therefore I can see it anywhere?

    BANKS

It's beautiful, and by far my favourite of the 4 songs! Reminds me of her older ballads from Goddess.
  10. I definitely know of it, I remember it's announcements but I never looked into it
  11. Babe, if you've come to check this thread for updates, save yourself from the continued cycle of damage and click away for another year or so x
  12. The only thing keeping me going is pretending it's 2013 and I'm just discovering more of her songs again
  13. Get Drunk is on another level... "I'm sleeping with your best friend. How do you like me now?" The guitar sounds so dark.
  14. I really like Heavy Hitter, Paradise and Hit & Run. Paradise and Hit & Run (the upbeat version) were some of the first unreleased songs I got obsessed with. Also Big Bad Wolf. That one is so different. I love it so much.

    Grimes

Umm.. interesting. And they said they always wanted 3 or 4 children? Sounds like it's working out for both Elon and Grimes. Anyways, I'm dying for a better song to come out!
  16. This is exactly the Songs from Final Fantasy XV! (I still really love Too Much is Never Enough and I Will Be. )
  17. I only just found out yesterday (I was doing a bit of Sky research) that Shirley Manson from Garbage helped write Red Lips and I'm on Top. I can't believe I didn't know this for 8 years! Explains why I love those songs so much.
  18. Not me checking all of her other YouTube playlists to see if there's any other anomalies, and nope, that's the only one I do find this LANA DEL REY - LIVE playlist interesting though. I'm pretty sure it's most of the professionally recorded ones. SNL -Blue Jeans proudly being on there, Ultraviolence from Glastonbury 2014 iconic. her hair looked so good too
  19. "Last updated January 23rd 2021" so it's been there for over a year unless the playlist was private for a while.
  20. On Lana's YouTube channel, there are playlists for each of her albums. At the bottom of the BTD playlist...
  21. "I'm not simple, it's trigonometry" "I'm not simple as trigonometry" because I do find it quite simple
  22. I just listened to I'm On Top and I Can't Say No To Myself for the first time in years! Wish they were on Spotify. I Can't Say No To Myself was one of my faves in my peak music era of 2014. Also, does anyone else cringe so hard at "there's nothing wrong with OCD as long as it's for me" in Obsession? Did she write that?
  23. This album is so good. I could even call it level with Under My Skin and TBDT. The only thing it's missing (and that's not a bad thing because this album is already good enough)is that feel of desolation/isolation that early 2000s rock songs gave. Idk if I could explain it well, but she had that in songs like Nobody's Home, Fall to Pieces, and several others. (Edit, avalanche has it in the verses! Yay) Some newer songs have it too, like 11 Minutes by Yungblud & Halsey. Love Sux has to be in my top 5 avril songs tho, and that's a huge deal.
