I was ahead of my time

Chemtrails was actually a pretty happy and contemplative album lyrically. Nostalgia and melancholia were still part of it but I found that overall, it’s her least sad record. Even the melodies are almost « joyful » for Lana. 
Thank God she’s going back to what I fell in love with 10 years ago : pure tragedy and sadness. I’m ready to be torn apart again after the three new songs.

this and the "let’s hate the new album until two albums later when we’ll start loving it" are never ending cycles we’ll be stuck in forever 

I love Norman and I like Chemtrails, but this is Lana returning to form. These are the most Lana tracks we've had since Honeymoon.

Her voice and lyrics are powerful enough there 
no need to overshadow her 
 
plus the end is perfect 

I'm still 100% the album is titled Rock Candy Sweet. I never understood her post as a "Hi guys so the new album was re-titled to Blue Banisters."

It would be iconic if that becomes the BB cover, but right now, I’m thinking it’s only for the single because her FaceBook and YouTube headers use that picture and it says “Blue Banisters out now”, which can only refer to the single. 
 
She’s changed her headers to reflect singles that have come out before the album in previous eras, so I think we have yet to see the actual album cover. But I totally would not be surprised if we’ve already seen the cover and would be here for it!

but tbh after the whole instagram comment mess when she revealed the cocc cover ("if i say its the album cover its the album cover" incident) i wouldn't be surprised if she's intentionally using the 'ugly' covers to spite people hating on it. either that or she simply doesn't care... or both
 
im indifferent tbh. im letting the songs speak for themselves (3 of the best songs she's done in years)

i adore these 3 songs from the new record, 
but being a Lana Fan since 2013/2014 i can’t help but wonder what she would have thought back then of the cover work of these singles ? is it supposed to be a joke ? is it supposed to be ‘not glam’ i just can’t connect the dots tbh & idk i wish she’d explain.
not that artwork is the most important at all - but idk i miss the iconic artwork. 

I really think this album is going to be all about how her relationship with her mother affected every facet of her life. Our relationships with our parents truly do inform our relationships with others and our relationships with ourselves. I’ve said it before but I really, really appreciate Lana being this open and honest about that lately. 

Sending love out there to everyone who can relate to what she’s feeling in these songs. ♥️

I think I haven't been obsessed with a piano ballad of hers since Change 

I really don't think it was added as a throwaway lyric, it fits perfectly. She's been through a brutal year where a bunch of idiots who know nothing about her have called her a racist, a Karen, a Trump supporter, etc., and obviously none of that is true. The lyric is sincere and places the song in a very specific and challenging time. She's solidifying the fact that that's who she is, and then brings it back to the theme of the song by wishing her father was with her, and reflecting on the disconnect on the lives they live. 
 
Not to mention the fact that Lana fans will be singing along to the song forever now. Having people repeat "black lives matter" even if it's just in a song is a lot more powerful than people who post on social media and then do nothing beyond that to support a cause. People dragging her for that will drag her for anything.
