It’s obvious at this point that Interscope doesn’t care about Lana’s release when Billie Eilish is now the next big thing. And I don’t blame Interscope for that. It’s a cash grab opportunity. Who I blame is the society for falling for that boring ass brat. At least Lana’s ~melancholy~ theme was authentic and she wasn’t just some sort of grunge edgy tumblr teen. Billie’s vocals control is quite good, but it’s really nothing shocking since all of her family works in the music industry. And her songs mainly sound interesting because of her brother’s production.
 
But this is exactly what society now is - they’re making boring ass pop stars famous. Honestly last interesting big debut act was Lana and then Lorde. Now the music industry is full of Dua Lipas and all that generic shit.

This smells record company politics.Interscope wants a number 1 album. Hell, she got noticed again this year with BTD (2 billion streams, spending 300+ weeks on Billboard), Jack is a big name, they want the damn thing to succeed. If the album indeed doesn’t have real bangers, and if the visuals are low-key, they must be wondering what’s the best strategy to release it. With the poetry book? Without it? Surprise drop? Planned release? Is the album too slow for Summer? I guess this is why they wanted a second cover for it.

What concept? Vintage footage of cars going on like a gif, badly inserted hair extensions and one casual picture of Lana sitting next to a road?

If the photoshoot she did with Steven was for the album cover, it can't come out next week. I'd be stupid anyway. Interscope wants a number 1, and they'll get it with Billie's album on that date. They'll get a second number 1 with Lana but on another date. Even if Lana doesn't care about numbers, her label does.

Imagine flying your new fake bitchy instagram friends that you've only known for less than 6 months on a private jet and letting your lovely band who loves you and has been playing with you for almost 7 years fly coach. Like literally the people who gave you new song ideas (cruel world, pretty when you cry) and invited you to sing at their birthday (when she sang cry me a river don't remember if it was a birthday or a party of theirs or something) like that's low-key very bitchy and rude....

Y’all acting like Lana taking a private jet while her band is flying commercial lines is something new. I get it, her friends look like a shelf of mayonnaise jars and they’re overall annoying, but I can’t even count how many times me or my friends spotted her band on the airport while she was landing in her private jet. There’s also many times when even her whole team were staying at another hotel, probably just to confuse fans and paparazzi. They’re working for her, she pays them and she really doesn’t have to fly them with her jet, especially when she’s with her management/friends/family.

I would have genuinely liked Groupie Love as a bonus track, single, or "leaked" unreleased song. But I practically hate it now because to me it's one of the songs that ruined LFL

How does someone with a discography that spans 300+ written songs perform the same handful of BTD tracks at every single fucking show.
