This is so true and probably one of the worst trends in pop culture. It creates this eco chamber where out of touch celebs say the same thing and pet themselves on the back for being so brave and moral. I would prefer the majority of celebs being "airheads" with only a few who genuinely care about politics than this. The ratings of the Oscars and Grammys shows how the public reacts to bullshit but they can't seem to get it. This has gone so far that celebs have become propaganda tools. How moral is a celeb who knowingly has young fans like Ariana and Billie and encourages them to vote for a democrat president and have a certain ideology? They're all for equality but don't bother to tour everywhere else that isn't the US, UK, west Europe, Japan and AUS.

As for Lana, she isn't far from them. She's trying to jump on the bandwagon but fails to catch the train. Dumping Kanye over being a republican? Kanye is batshit crazy but it's pretty disturbing if you decide that people who vote for a different party don't deserve to be friends with you. She reacted so poorly when people joked that she was a republican instead of laughing it off like in that furry livestream. She can still be a democrat but expressing it in a different way would suit her more. She doesn't seem radical at all giving by her her QFTC statement but I understand the pressure from her environment.

I think people are kind of starting to get the idea that Lana owes us constant interaction and social media presence, which isn't true at all. There are multiple celebrities who aren't even on social media at all and still do well/have a good relationship with their fans. If she wants to be less active on Instagram and Twitter for this era, that's totally fine with me, especially with everything that's gone on in the past year or so. Just seeing her comment section on the triple single post she made (and has since deleted) kind of made me understand why she would not be active if she's doing it intentionally. I could go on and on about the parasocial relationship thing and how it relates to Lana/her fans, but for now, I'm just going to say that I hope she's doing well mentally and taking care of herself. I've also been spending a lot more time with the singles since summer started for me and I'm loving them even more than I did before. Text Book has grown on me a lot.

Okay y'all, it's 100% clear that bullshit media about her, affects her in a bad way. Even when she says she doesn't care. She cares too much. I truly hope her trusted managers advised her to focus on her own truth and her own metal health. Maybe our girl finally realised that she can say a lot more when she makes art, than when she badly articulates what she wants to say on an interview.

    I'm waiting for QFTC pt.2

I still watch her QFTC video while In My Feelings, plays in the background.

the media instantly took the three songs and made the implied claim that the most controversial thing to take away from them is her mentioning black lives matter then to delve into QFTC rehashed discourse and then paled the entirety of lana's lyrics about maternal abuse and her hospital stints earlier in life

given that whatever she does causes some outlandish reach of an article pushed to pursue advertisement revenue i dont think it's uncalled for to believe her team finally stepped in and told her to stop doing anything at all

    You'd be surprised

It's nbd though, she's done this before. Before NFR she went missing for a month or so at one point, iirc
If she doesn't feel like saying stuff for whatever reason, then that's cool. We know we're (eventually) getting more music, so

Probably her surprise will be having a gender reveal party after Chuck's baby is born. Oh Lana. ❤

    I just want to say

while I took a break from LB to focus more on school stuff and panicking 4 times in a week, Blue Banisters really helped me to calm down. It was like the only thing that made my anxiety, well, not exactly go away, but get less overwhelming. I had it on repeat on low volume for so long since it’s release. I didn’t find Wildflower or text book to be as soothing, so I haven’t played them too much since the release but! I’m ready to stream them a lot now! They’re really so beautiful, and I love the lyrics.

I don't believe the "her team told her to not say anything at all" thing. Cmon it's Lana, if someone ever told her to stay quiet she'll probably post qftq pt.2 just to mess with them . And I don't even think insiders can have that kind of info. They can have music and even the whole rollout of an era but I don't think there is a written paper or file that it says "oh and for this era we told Lana to stay quiet in her releases"

So I just remembered that Lana often makes literature references in her music, and then I came across a book called this:

Which is a lyric in Yosemite: "I remember watching, How Green Was My Valley" It was also made into a film in the 1940's (which is what Lana is referring to).
Also I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the COCC thread already. I haven't checked it since the album got released so forgive me for looking like a thief of thoughts

So now I wonder if Lana will use any literature references for BB. In my opinion, I think a reference to Flowers in the Attic would be perfect considering Lana is opening up about the relationship between her and her mother more, and in the novel and movie, the mother betrays her children and the children are abused by their grandmother. It gives a harrowing glimpse into the family dynamic where the women in that family are the toxic ones - a view which is rare. It's just the case of knowing if Lana is aware of this book (most likely), so it would be interesting.

Any other literature references you think would go well on BB?

As I'm sure others here have, I have used art as a form of personal catharsis to move past trauma sometimes. When I have made art for that reason I have never wanted to talk about it afterwards (or even look at it, sometimes) because the process is a way of releasing those feelings and moving on. Obviously everyone is different, but these songs are deeply personal and maybe she feels this way, too. I mean, what is she supposed to say? "My mum abused me, it was really shit because my dad never stuck up for me and I ended up in the hospital and on lithium"? "My relationships keep failing because I'm a writer and it fucking sucks"? "I'd rather forget S**n L****n exists"?
I think everyone should calm down because I doubt she's going to ghost us forever just because Ben or someone advised her to. It's in her nature to be a bit of a shitposter and once a shitposter, always a shitposter

Maybe it‘s her way of talking to us, her fans, while staying quiet towards the gp. She knows we will see her post, even if she deletes it shortly after posting.

Maybe she is just busy working in the studio and polishing the masterpiece BB is going to be

    Have faith. Trust the process

The Lana silence thing is really unfortunate considering how it's noticeable from some of her posts - this is shaping up to be a really scary pre-release if most of our info is gonna be in the form of surprises so I hope she puts some effort
