i haven't listened yet but it's aoty me thinks

i’m not even a stan but that was like borderline perfect album. the way it’s SO lyric heavy and she made it in a short amount of time and filled with beautiful melodies. yeah she’s a legend

I'm glad it's my day off as I stayed up for this.
 
Right now I'm too tired to make any sense but what I will say is that probably folklore is my favourite album of hers and alot of the tracks brought me to fucking tears. Exile is definitely my favourite track so far.

Oh give me a break. Should we all lick her ass and defend her "natural" look when it's not even natural? Her eyebrows have never looked more unpresent so she probably had them bleached, the hair is a dye job and we all know she's had cosmetic surgery done, where is the nature we are supposed to defend? Just because she is not wearing makeup it doesn't make shit natural. Why do we have to still offend our taste? I love her but I think she should consider hiring a stylist. She is a public figure for god's sake. Call me misogynist all you want if I drag her for undone hair and overgrown eyebrows and something that she hasn't put effort in. But the thing that bothers me is that she literally put effort in looking like this and honestly I don't think she aesthetically looks good. Like she looks healthy yes I am happy for that but not v cute.

The problem isn't the blonde hair. It's what she's done to her face over the years and she didn't fill her eyebrows out in today's pics like she did in these old photos. 
 
Personally I prefer her reddish/blonde or light auburn hair she had back in the Born To Die era.

It does seem she is out of touch with reality a bit, she has been famous for 8 years now and although we don't know for sure it doesn't seem she has close "normal" friends from when she was younger, ones who would keep you grounded and who still live regular lives and can speak to her about real stuff. She has probably been living in a bubble where she is only around her family and then people she works with in her industry and then these new girls shes been with for a few years now who just seem like suburban rich LA girls so they probably all look up to her and treat her like a god.
 
Writing "im just a glamorous person" in a statement she put out to the public was crazy, regular people would never say something ike that about themselves or even people with real close friends. If you read that you'd contact them telling them they've lost it. Thats something you'd expect someone like Cardi B to say about themselves as a joke. Was similar a couple of years ago during the Israel thing when she said she wanted to perform with loving energy or something she is missing people around her to explain to her how these type of things come across to people.

I think she just can't really capture her own sound in her own words sometimes.
 
Just going by examples: when she said we'd hear the 'Born To Die' strings on 'Ultraviolence', but that ended up just being on the title track. Or that 'Honeymoon' would be this jazzy album with a touch of "soft grunge", but it ended up being this very cinematic record mixed with trap beats (with some jazz-y influences, but still not the golden era of jazz album she initially described). Or when she said we'd hear a lot of 60s pop/Shangri Las influences on 'Lust for Life' but besides some light instrumentation and the doo wop doo wop on the title track and on 'Get Free' the record was nothing like that. Now with 'NFR!', sis said the album would be reminiscent of Red Hot Chili Peppers... that was just straight up wrong.

There are already two things I'm sure about this record:
 
1. There won't be a clear "aesthetic".
2. Whatever Lana says about how the album is going to be like sonically, it's going to sound nothing like what she described.

I haven't processed yet that this is coming in a few months. I deadass was not expecting another Lana record until late 2021. Prolific gorlie. 
 

 
I do wish she hadn't announced it without putting out a lead single first. I have trust issues with this binch. I'm fully expecting the September 5 date to be postponed.

This being said – Lana clearly has little to no taste when it comes to outfits, styling and overall visual aspects, so her coming up with a bad concept and Chuck just doing what she is told because they're sisters and whatnot might not exactly be ideal.
 
Personally, I'd be here for a return of Nicole Godland. She's still the photographer who gave us the undeniably most iconic and recognisable pictures of Lana, and if she feels the sudden urge to be glamorous again, it'd be a perfect fit.
