Maybe RCS only consists of unreleased songs, therefore the Cherry Blossom post, while BB only has new songs. It would make a release in the next months more realistic: Maybe she was working on RCS since she mentioned it in the LFL era*. Could also be the reason why Thunder is being taken down everywhere but other songs aren‘t

edit: * And Ben was referring to that when he said „we are finally able to pull it off“

Dearly Beloved from Kingdom Hearts is the most beautiful song I've ever heard in my life, it does something to me I can't explain

And the opening songs by Utada Hikaru for KH1 and KH2 are incredible too. Always hits me in the feels when I hear these

I kind of agree, but is it wrong to wish for a tiny bit more commitment when it comes to cover arts and videos? She's a pretty big star now, not a soundcloud artist who has to do everything themselves.

I really think you should let go of the image that you have built of Lana a little bit. I feel that she finally found herself artistically, in her poetry and her way of telling stories, also through books or music. her choosing to make her own clips, single covers and etc. reflect that she is really committed to doing things her way. and I feel that anyone who can’t accept that maybe should choose another artist as their favorite instead of being put some negativity in her job!

i think the video is beautiful. its simple but it really shows whats important to her in this period of her life - her family and friends. i feel like shes grown so much

I like the idea of a compilation of her sweet and mundane daily activities with the people that are important to her, but the editing is a bit weird. The editing definitely could have been a bit better but it is still a sweet and cute video nonetheless

You can tell she is a very family person and her friends and family have helped her so much reach the point where she is now.

I respect Melanie's artistry but this album just doesn't come close to Cry Baby. Sonically and thematically this album is similar to Cry Baby so people are bound to compare them, it is how it is. I love that she plays characters but I hope that next time she goes for something different because if she sticks to this idea it's going to get insanely boring and I doubt it would work a 3rd time round.

Melanie's fans probably can identify the growth in her as an artist and how this album is different to Cry Baby and I understand that, but as a casual fan who just enjoys her music this doesn't particularly interest me

Also not hating but when I saw the tracklist for the first time I rolled my eyes lmao and when I started listening, Wheels on the Bus wasn't a great way to start I found the sample cringe

Drama Club, Lunchbox Friends, Orange Juice, High School Sweethearts and Recess are some of the tracks I liked

FYI I didn't watch the film but I doubt many people other than stans will watch the entire film anyway??? however I realise that watching the film will probably enhance the experience of the album a lot. But based on the album alone there aren't many standout tracks and it all blends together. Which from an artistic POV probably fits with what Melanie wanted to achieve with this album, a cohesive sounding album telling a story, but it just ends up being a bit of a boring album to listen to

I did like quite a few of the tracks and I don't think it's a bad album, it's just not amazing. I was expecting a bit more because Melanie is genuinely a great artist, and I don't think it was worth the 4 year wait. I'll probably love it after a few more listens though

Oh my god, this song is SEVERELY underrated. It makes me so upset to see all the dislike for it, because I think it's one of her most brilliant tracks to date. The songwriting is some of her best, and so is the melody. It's such a raw and vulnerable track, and the simple piano really brings that out. It's almost like a desperate plea, where things have gotten so bad to a point she's begging for any sign of hope. I've been there. I'm there right now. This song is so personal, I feel almost as if it's her most personal, and I'm so happy she shared it with us. I don’t understand why there's so much general dislike for it (honestly I think it's a placebo effect because of the single cover and the long title ngl) This song contains some of her strongest lyrics in my opinion, and contains the overall best lyrics from NFR tied with The Greatest. It's a masterpiece to me.

Here are some of my favourite lines:
Writing in blood on my walls 'cause the ink in my pen don't work in my notepad
Don't ask if I'm happy, you know that I'm not, but at best I can say I'm not sad
I've been tearing up town in my fucking nightgown like a goddamn near sociopath
Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have, hope is a dangerous thing for a woman with my past
A modern day woman with a weak constitution 'cause I've got monsters still under my bed that I could never fight off
A gatekeeper carelessly dropping the keys on my nights off
