    Dua Lipa

I 100% expected the album to be self-titled so that isn't a surprise/disappointment at all, but the cover definitely isn't my favourite.. It looks quite fanmade and her expression isn't the most flattering for an album cover. I guess if she likes it though, then that's that. I'll probably use an actual fanmade cover for the album once it's out though.
  2. Lana was spotted grocery shopping with her friend Jonathan Wilson at Vintage Grocers in Malibu yesterday on her birthday. I'm just going to go ahead and say that she's looked the best she has in awhile. I'm attributing 90% of that to the side part. Ever since she started sporting the middle part with the grown out bangs, I was ready for it to be gone. Plus, it looks like the hair is her usual dark brown rather than black, which I've always preferred. I wasn't too fond of the blonde and the 50 shades of red she had in between before dying it to what it is now, I just think those colours don't suit her as well as dark brown. Either way, I hope she had a great birthday with her friend!
  3. Last night, Lana was spotted leaving The Nice Guy restaurant in LA, switching her new blonde locks back to black once again. Earlier that day, she was spotted at a hair salon. Video: https://twitter.com/LanaDeIReyDaily/status/743259314551300097
  4. Apparently the account hasn't been updated since 2014, so the selfies couldn't have come from there. That's still a mystery.
  5. "Lana Del Rey's Twitter" is currently #5 on trending.. Get that promo I guess?
  6. These aren't really HQ, but I just wanted to share these ones that I found that are my personal favourites from the night.
  7. I'm not sure if anyone has said this already in the thread, but I saw a comment on an Instagram video of her performing Freak that she sounded very Lizzy Grant. I closed my eyes and could totally visualize Lizzy singing it. She was singing in a higher pitched voice like she used to. Since Lana now usually sings in a deeper voice, it was incredible to be able to visualize this. Slowly returning to a Lizzy aesthetic? The higher pitch, the blonde hair, Yayo on the set list.. Who knows.
  8. So it's confirmed that OTTR is still on the set list? I'm surprised, I was expecting her to remove it again.
  9. Updated OP with this video. She seems annoyed with the paps, as usual. Poor Lana.
  10. Wow, the Million Dollar Man performance in this is gorgeous. I always love hearing her sing it live. It's nice how high quality this is, and she sounds amazing. Is there a download for this interview/particular performance anywhere?
  11. Miss Blondna Del Rey spotted at LAX while heading to Poland for her Orange Warsaw Festival appearance on Friday. She seems over the paps, as usual.
  12. Since she's headlining, I think the set may be like her usual set length - Honeymoon Cola Ultraviolence Blue Jeans Cruel World West Coast High by the Beach Shades of Cool/The Blackest Day Religion/God Knows I Tried Born to Die Summertime Sadness Serial Killer/Freak Terrence Loves You Video Games (Some sort of cover) Music to Watch Boys To That's just my prediction based on how Lana's sets usually are. I really wish she'd cut Blue Jeans and add back Body Electric & Million Dollar Man. Still hoping for a PWYC/Sad Girl performance, but I know that won't happen. Also, I wish she'd sing other Honeymoon tracks instead of Terrence & MTWBT, but I have a feeling she'll sing both of those.
  13. Omg at the end "It's kinda cute!" Love, love, love the melody of this. I always liked Lana's part in delicious (and the whole song in general) but this is just 10 times better. [also, @@Skid Row Cherry Pie it kind of sounds like she's saying "lie, lie, talking all night" rather than my my? sounds like an L sound]
  14. New lyrics: Sweet and bloody my mafiosi With your dark hair and your switchblade teeth I don't care, you always acting shady Late at night, late at night It's alright, it's alright I knew it when we met Knew how you lived your life Living off the grid with a dream and a knife You can do your thing baby if I can do mine You can watch me sing and I can help you do your crime, crime [existing chorus] Get out of your life Break out of them chains Run for life There's still time to change I love this song so much. she is so. CUTE.
  15. So satisfying to be able to cross things off of this list. I'm going to replace those three with - 1. Girl That Got Away ( ) 2. Children of the Bad Revolution (Demo)...that was quick, not even two hours after I posted this () 3. Be My Daddy/BBM Baby (1/2 )

    Roses

I'm going to be honest, I LOVE THIS. I was never hyped for Roses except for the fact that it was so elusive. I always assumed it was going to be another ballad with really cliché lyrics that I'd never really care for. Aside from the rap, the song is amazing. I love it so much. The chorus is incredible, and I actually really love the lyrics too. This is definitely a song that exceeded my expectations since I wasn't too hyped for it and was expecting something completely different. Although it's probably an unpopular opinion right now, I think it's incredible. & I'm also still in such a shock that it leaked. Never thought we'd see the day for this one.

    1949

New lyrics: Carry me up them stairs With my white socks on And my pretty song Like my blue nail polish What is all this? You said of the mess upstairs Don't be scared Daddy dearest You know how I like to take trips Pops first stops at the K-Mart Buy me my peach lipgloss Cigarettes and lollipops For our trip across the USA We're gonna party like it's 1949 We're in the Pontiac from July to July Gonna see it all before he says goodbye Gonna party like it's 1949 Carry me up the stairs With my white socks on And my blonde hair long You like my pin-up bodice And the solace That comes with the midnight air And my icy stare It's the clearest When it's me and him alone He's stops, he talks about all the ways he used to Dinerettes and soda pops For our trip across the USA We're gonna party like it's 1949 We're in the Pontiac from July to July Gonna see it all before he says goodbye Gonna party like it's 1949 Daddy likes Blackpool, Pleasure beach and road stops, Me, I like the Swiss Alps souvenir gift shops Late night, midnight, radio show talks Him and me, a big jailbreak Ponytail and lollipops Dinerettes and sodapops New blue bathing suit Ruched tops and Cadillacs Blue LA Carte Docks Hopscotch, hot talk Alabama hard knocks Motel brass locks. I'm completely in love with this song. The final version is so beautiful. I always loved the first version, and this is so lovely to hear. The new lyrics are fabulous too.. "my blonde hair long." So Lizzy! This song is also very close to my heart as it's an "Our Song" with someone very, very special to me.
  18. I've been wanting to share this for awhile, but I just now finally got around to photographing everything. So, I present to you all... The Lana Collection The Shrine, where 70% of it lives Inside and outside of the shrine are a lot of different components which I've divided into Clothing, Magazines, Music, and Miscellaneous, and then those will have subcategories. In the spoilers will be details of what everything is. Enjoy! Music Magazines Magazine Clippings: Merch & Miscellaneous Photos of large/forgotten items not pictured in main photo: Clothing Lana's Worn
  19. I'm a big fan of live performances and have soooooo many downloaded it's insane. I finally made a playlist of my favourite live performance of each song stylized so the tracks would match the tracklist of the album they're from with additional songs or covers added to the end of each "era" I thought they belonged with. This was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be with some songs. I just have so many favourites!

    HANA

Wow wow wow the EP is incredible. I already knew when I heard it live inches away from my face that Chimera was going to be my favourite. The track is so striking. If anyone hasn't heard a HANA track yet, definitely give Chimera a listen. You'll fall in love.
  21. All she wanted to do was get high by the beach
  22. If you're going to be in the pit, bring LOTS of water bottles (I usually bring 2-5 depending on how many people I have with me) and dress light or in layers that are easy to remove & that you wouldn't mind risking to not see ever again. It gets reeaally hot in the pit, so you're not going to want any heavy clothing and it's important to stay hydrated. If it's cold while waiting out, I usually bring a light sweater to wear until it's too hot, and then I'll take it off and tie it around me. Sometimes it'll fall off and get lost in the crowd, so don't bring anything you love. I really can't stress the water thing enough though - I've known so many people to faint because of heat exhaustion or dehydration, including myself at my second Lana show. I'll bring a drawstring bag and throw some bottles in there as well as some snacks (you don't want to lose your spot in the pit between waiting for acts if you're hungry since this is a festival) & having a portable phone charger can be a real life saver. Also, make sure to wear close-toed shoes, because people will stomp you to hell in there. I hope you have a good time and update us on how it goes! xx
  23. Even though this isn't a "~official~" song, I'm pretty sure this is my favourite unreleased song by her too (if we aren't counting AKA songs). Backfire is in my top 3 unreleased as well, I guess we have similar taste. I love your thought of this song being the prelude to Body Electric, which is one of my favourite released songs if not my favourite (alternates with Sad Girl). Maybe that's why I like them both so much. They're both pretty similar in the format of the song being blatant and somewhat melancholic, which I never really noticed until now. (Note - there is already a thread for this song though : http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/117-trash-magic-the-man-i-love-demo/ )
