I truly don't think there is such a thing as an overproduced song  if it aint loud and blocking out every other earthly noise I don't want it anyways DF is so good playing it alongside Guardian, Legends, Pray for Rain, DL, and One Way to Heaven and it's essentially the 2015 EP of the year

Legit don't know what some of you expected from her lol... and this doesn't sound like NTMT "filler" at all. Are we saying this is worse than Kristine or Omanko?? I sure don't think it is. This is literally in line with everything she's ever done
 
With that being said, with my first few listens of the leak, I remember being very confused with the song's structure. It's got a lot going on. It's probably going to be a running theme with some of the songs she's been sitting on for years and years. I like it, but it's a lot

if you think this song is literally not good then did you not enjoy NTMT at all? this ticks all the boxes: gritty guitar + strings + moody synths, anthemic chorus???????????????????????????????????? girlies you hhave NO IDEA how obsessed i am with this song 

i thought the whole point of this comeback 2.0 was because the album was finished and this was the true rollout beginning i’m so sad

Something I love about NFR that I hope to see in LDR9 is that—despite it being more stripped back—it contained really unique and easily identifiable production elements that really made you feel like you were escaping into NFR’s little bubble. 
 
For example, the varying electronic elements stitched into songs like FIILY, Venice Bitch, Cinnamon Girl, etc. really made the record feel cohesive without the tracks feeling indistinguishable. Not only that, but I feel that it elevated NFR from being a typical pop-folk record and almost placed the record into a genre of its own. 
 
Even if LDR9 ends up having my least favorite genre influences, I hope the production choices feel very intentional and that the songs won’t suffer from sameness. Hopefully that makes sense lol

Ok guys. 
 
I was scrolling on TikTok and I saw a lot of girlies saying that Solar Power was slept on and misunderstood and that the album clicked for them recently. I was like ''Ok let's try this again then'' and to my surprise it finally clicked for me too. It's such a SPRING album. I live in Canada where we had a pretty rough and cold winter and we also had a lot of strict COVID measures. Now the sun is back, it's getting warmer, COVID-19 is less crazy, and the album makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE. 
 
I was walking during a specially beautiful and warm day and it smelled like spring for the first time and the album was the perfect soundtrack for this new beginning! I sound kind of crazy but like, the album is about hope, about finding your way back, about reconnecting with your surroundings, and sonically I feel like it matches these feelings perfectly. The sun was shining and the heat was comforting for the first time in a while and the album really really matched the energy for me. It's far from a perfect album but I understand it and accept it way more than last year when I was like super duper pissed about it and didn't connect with any of it. 
 
I think the album is especially strong from The Path through Secrets from a girl. Also love Mood Ring and Oceanic Feeling and Hold No Grudge.

Her label is satisfied with results, it’s her best era with sales, they used good and smart strategy. They believed in Crash and they are still working on promotion

Honestly, I hope the 2 mediocre songs she put out appear on the EP along with the other sub par snippets she teased and the album(s) are of actual quality

Okay well @rare your suggestion of 'trapli' reminded me of Pop 2 which made me think of 'Trap 2' which I love  also @Nigel Hitch your tracklist gave me a few songs I hadn't even heard of so thank you for that. I made a cover and I'm really proud of how it turned out!!
 

 

 
 
 

I agree. besides the fire trap songs she's already released/made, I do think there's room for some really creative pc-influenced trap music. I am confident she can excel outside of the PC sound but I think she could really take the creative electronic parts of it and apply it in a trap context which would probably make for an amazing album that could also see some commercial success. 
hopefully that's what she meant by 'i'm selling out'
