Ok, I'm not a graphic designer (elegance, minimalism, sleek use of fonts, proportions etc.), and these won't be perfect imagined covers for Lana's singles that will suit everyone's taste, but my own interpretations based on my views on her art and feelings and visions she stirrs up in me. My style is a bit kitschy, baroque, psychedelic and sometimes over the top with colors or gore elements (some of the works are even morose, diabolic and macabric).
First covers are made with wrong font, because I couldn't download the propriate one, but now I got it.

If you got any suggestions for improvement, please do tell.

this is so ridiculous, people think they are special or something for having his "condition". It literally takes 1gram of imagination. if you want to "see" a colour you will lol there's nothing wrong with you

oh my god people exaggerate so much, I really don't think anyone honestly feels this strongly about the images, they just want to be seen as some sort of anti-rape advocate. Being offended is a new trend in 2014. Get over it   You're not heroic for condemning this

+ I also think it was very stupid for them to take down their site and the video itself, you should stand by whatever you create.

This video is supposed to be disturbing in the way that a film about a character being raped gets under your skin. Neither is advocating for rape, but rather portraying a story. Lana's lyrics about women who are in emotionally and physically volatile relationships exist as sonic portrayals of this kind of documentation, which is why I'm surprised at these reactions. True anti-feminism exists in the inability for a woman to tell a story, no matter how excruciating, without being labeled as an advocate for the mistreatment for women.

I thought, I would be the last human being on earth to agree with Limelights on anything, but really?
Rape is being shown on TV even during daytime, in movies, series and documentaries. It can be found in comics and animes
Just because something like that happend to you or your relatives and friends (I have a few of them actually), it does not mean, that you can stop people from showing in different forms.

Everything that is done for "artistic" purpose is free from censorship and moral judgement.

Excuse me for my ignorance but. Can anyone tell me how the video's(atleast Lana's scene) considered "pro-rape"? I mean I kind of felt bad for Lana and her character during the scene and wanted to kill the guy. So I don't see it as glamorizing rape cause I myself didn't feel the video was "hot". If anything, we were meant to feel sorry for the girl.

The only glamorous thing I saw was the camera angles and HD'ness, slow-motion effects and stuff but not the rape scene.

    Can anyone enlighten me?

Omfg. You people are acting like she actually got raped. It is a VIDEO that she obviously wanted to be a part of. We don't know the context of this video and probably never will. Ugh, this site is too much sometimes.

    My 2 cents....

    1. The fact that Catholics did worst centuries ago can't be in any way or form a reason to justify the existence of ISIS, Al Qaeda and all the other radical form of Islam as a regime and a Government. People who use the fact Christians did worse makes me wanna pull my eyebrows out tbh, it's like saying the Israelis have the right to massacre Palestinians GP because Germany did worst to them and a couple radical nut jobs Islam fanatics are threatening their national sovereignty. One can't justify the other, if we do that we are doomed. I wonder what people would think if Israel started bombing Germany out of the bloom....

    2. Did you ever ask yourself why the Middle East is a concern while so many Islam-Fascist regimes are installed in Africa??

    3. Radical Islam is NOT a religion first, that's the issue. Is most of all a regime, the law which the State will operate and rule society with. Comparing it with Christiniaty is naive and not reading between the lines. Radical Islam is closer to Fascism and Nazis than to Christianity in this time and age. There ins't shades of grey in Radical Islam as a State, you are in or you are dead, that's the 2 options. There isn't a choice. That's a regime, that's fascism.

    4. Radical Islam is a lot worse then Christianity (Catholic) was in their prime because is more efficient. For several reasons:
    A) Is easier. To be a Catholic you have to go through a series of rituals: be baptized,do a  first communion, christened.... To be a Muslim you just have to become a Muslim.
    B) Internet changed everything making Radical Islam a cancer that spreads easily. Look at those crazy lunatics having their videos of beheading human beings showed at newspapers, magazines (even respectable ones), forums.... the attention they get is in a sick way a stardom. That dude with Brit accent that is cutting people's throat in that village he lives, in that world, is a star.

    5. Radical Islam is a disease that needs to be stopped. IMO the approach in how to stop is obviously wrong, mostly because US or most European countries invested in the called collision or war against terrorism have no interest to stop it. The answer to stop it is, and always was, in Middle East itself, the children, woman and man that live there, not in imposing western views instead of asking them: what you need? What you want? Look at how those woman live and are treated, you can't honestly believe that if they had a choice they wouldn't chose different. I'm not talking religion here, I'm talking way of living and human rights, which any form of radical regime denies it to the population and Islam is no different.

But the different choice and path they would take may not be the one the Western world is imposing or offering. There for all those people have no where to go, no side to pick. In one side you have UK and US trying to get their natural resources and destroying their country and on the other they have crazy radicals that transformed their peaceful religion into a system made to hate everyone and destroy all non believers. It's obvious that destroying the country is just a way to propagate hate and create new terrorists, like was said when you see your family die, friends, everything is taken away, what's left? You become a easy target for Islam Fascism.

My grandfather is a great and awarded journalist and he said to me a couple times that the real "woman revolution" didn't happen yet, that feminism as it most pure, genuine form will be a Middle East female revolution. He always say " I probably wont be alive to see it, but you will and don't miss it because it's going to a show, an amazing show. " I hope his right and I hope happens sooner than later, because look at those people, they don't even have a side to chose, one is Western trying to win over their misery and the other is Radical Islam-Fascism also trying to win over their misery.

Strangely i kinda like it. I found the WC video boring, but this is nice. Simple and beautiful. Nothing extraordinary. But her look when she sing "He hit me and it felt like a kiss" is so provocative. I mean...this is brave. Girl wants to create controversary. And i love the horrorfilm-look. It has some tension in it it I think.
    It's a very subtle video.
However the orange part was just weird to watch. And yes, she definitly runs out of ideas. Maybe next time she makes something more appealing. But at least she has fun

Half of the vidoe is her, walking through a garden and singing. Then, suddenly, an old man with a walking stick appears and screams "WHAT ARE YOU HIPPIES DOIN IN MAH GARDEN?" and Lana and the guy holding the Iphone start to run panicky, while the song still plays. In the end of the video, the phoneguy runs behind Lana and suddenly stumbles. The camera turns black. The last scene is Lana in the dark, holding the phonecamera close to her face and crying.

  24. Slumdog liked a post in a topic by wagamama in Lana's alleged sect/cult past
I think it's important that in the German original she says : "I was part of a underground-scene [...] I'll call it a sect" what the media made into  "Lana del rey was member of a sect!!!"  Scene has adifferent meaning than sect I believe ? So she's more using words like cultleader to describe how it was back then. At least that's what I get out of it.
