I remember Titanic Sinclair stating that the songs they were working on were so out of this World, would revolutionse pop music rtc... (Artpop, anyone ?) Everytime artists say that, it comes biting butts.
-
I don't mind the melodies, there are some good ones, it's just that this Web theme is tiring me quickly... (And that's coming from a fan of an artist that has used "red party dress" in a gazillion songs) I don't know, Bubblebath was brilliant...

Beautiful song. I still twitch at the whistling, it's a bit pitchy in my opinion !

Is there a thread for the LB community reviews ? I'm interested in reading them ! Thank you

Interview with Lana's producer Rick Nowels for Genius
BlueJeans replied to latothemoon's topic in New Interviews
Brilliant interview, loved it ! Thanks for sharing So interesting to see what their creative process is like ! -
UV is boring, there's literally nothing going on bar a few nice filter edits. Now if you take a wider look at the body of work she did with Neil, I can understand (for instance, the garden shots are Beautiful). Born to Die all the way...

Ok listened to it once, now I'm forbidding myself of listening to it before the album comes out, I want to EXCPETIENCE it. Wow wow wow!

Never thought of it !

When I drive at night, I like to listen to Ride, Old Money, Yayo, Burning Desire, Terrence Loves You...

It's a boring album, imo. Apart from the first two singles, no song really stands out. Each one sort of sounds the same but it's not good enough to label them as "cohesive". Plus every time she tried being "deep/symbolic", I can't take her seriously. I think it started with the Wide Awake music video... But that's just me. A big "NEXT".

Could you please link me ? I would like to hear that, didn't know there was more than 1 version...

Lana Del Rey Born to Die Billboard Chart Immortality
BlueJeans replied to graham4anything's topic in Charts & Sales
Well deserved, on many different levels. A unique album in terms of production (yes I said it), themes, concepts, and visuals... Definitely one that had some type of influence on the musical landscape. Yay BTD ! -
Music Video Premiere: "Lust for Life (feat. The Weeknd)"
BlueJeans replied to Elle's topic in Latest News
I'm surprised at the number of people thinking she kills herself, it's a thought that didn't occur to me (which of course doesn't mean it's wrong haha). But as I see it, she might at first want to jump from the hollywood sign but instead, Abel encourages to chose an option that wouldn't harm her, and they both end up happily ever after in the field. I liked the video, I felt something when she got up and started jumping from letter to letter, a sort of desire to risk it all from her part. The sliding scène didn't do it for me, it felt a bit funny tbh but overal, I think there are nice shots and a nice theme throughout the video... -
Music Video Premiere: "Lust for Life (feat. The Weeknd)"

The shots with her back up dancers makes me think of the black and white version of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is you": https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rNp4aBz9Jww Overal I liked the video ! The slowing scène was a bit funny but nice shots... -
I seldomly heard something that sounds so dated on the day of its release! Nicki id. Good in her part but the instrumental and the melody is even worse than Bon App's ! Katy, come on !
-
She lost the plot... And she should stop trying to be symbolic or use metaphors, it's not a good look for her. But that's just me...
-
Eh... Not a fan. I do like her vocal delivery. Except "with you, in malibuuuuuu"... But I'm curious to hear more!

This snippet that leaked yesterday, along with a instrumental snippet. Can't link you now as I'm my phone but Check the "audio" section
-
I always thought she sang "Honey, Honey" at the beginning of "Gods and Monsters" but the acapella indicates she says "L.A, L.A" !
-
I'm always surprised at people still buying "All I want for Christmas is You", making the song chart 20 years after it came out !
-
I'm lowkey " " happy" " about this. I always liked Katy; fun girl with fun songs. But her last successes were a bit overrated. I like CTTR, though !
-
I can totally see Lana singing "Climb up the D.." and giggling with the audience while performance this song on tour !

Minus the insultq, there's tea in that teapot !
