I saw someone mention we should make this a thread a few hundred pages ago in the NFR Pre-Release thread and couldn’t find one. This is a thread for the lies she’s told us and the unfulfilled promises that will probably never actually happen.
 
So I’m starting it.
 
Let’s start off with some of the more obvious lies:
 
2012: “I’d like to re-release (remake?) my first album [AKA]”
2012: "I'm going to release a video for Dark Paradise"
2017: “I’m thinking about releasing an album of 25 favorite unreleased tracks”
2017: "I'm going to release a video for Cherry"
2017: "Yosemite and BAR will be released as folk singles - possibly in a folky EP."
2018: “Norman Fucking Rockwell will be released top of the new year [2019]”
2019: "Violet will be out Jan 4" [Source]
May 2020: "I'll be releasing my album (Chemtrails) September 5"
Nov. 2020: "I'm going to digitally release an album of covers for you for Christmas"
March 2021: "Rock Candy Sweet out June 1"
June 2021: "Blue Banisters out July 4"
Feb. 2024: "My new album, Lasso, out this September" (So far, could be still true, July 2024, but likely not, with no announcement/pre-order)

Every time I listen to Hope, I get confused as to how anyone could find it boring. It's so stunningly beautiful to me. 

Yeah there even was a countdown and all, the days before. It really shows that the March 29 date  had become «universally believed» to be the release date.

That's why the album's being delayed. That's the only acceptable reason rn imo. It's almost thunderous, I dig the production. Imagine Lana's vocals swimming in it like WOW wish u hadn't shown me this. Coulda topped National Anthem or been like an energetic LiB just woooowwwwwww
 
edit: I mean, alright hm. I appreciate Hope, and how it's more hollow and of an echo of resonance bc of the song's narrative. No one can sing it quite like her, Lana that is, but just imaaagggginnnnnne 

I quite like the instrumentation they did here, Hope really could've been much more compelling than it is
 

 
(also, an X Factor thing probably shouldn't have more interesting production than the original song...)

There's a whiff of anti-NFR homophobia in it that's for sure 

I think it’ll be completely opposite bc she said she was leaving the more surfy rock songs for the end of the album a month or two ago

Why a separate thread when there's no news to even talk on the pre release thread? The news is that there is no new news. 

I haven't been on lanaboards in a few weeks and..... There's still nothing going on with this album. Where are you Lana?!?!?!? WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE US HANGING LIKE THIS!

I think the album will start with the surf rock and psychedelic songs, and then we'll slowly dive into the sad piano tracks. VB would be the transition between the two parts, MAC would open the first part and IYC would open the second part

I admire y'all who keep posting on this thread... I wish I had the strength to do the same...

Thinking about the potential Sylvia had. It has fine lyrics. A creative production with a stronger piano would have done wonders. But it nearly is an Acapella (with a very watered down & uninspired piano here & there) with a bad selfie as the artwork.
 
Did anyone made a non-acapella edit of the song?
