Underwhelmed at 2am when I first heard it (thanks insomnia). But listening to it sporadically through the day has made me really like it. It feels spontaneous, heartfelt, a little simple in the lyrics for sure but pretty charming & lo-fi. 
If I'd heard Sad Girl without the context of UV I'd probably be pretty worried too, and that turned out OK.
Weird that it just appeared with zero comment from Lana herself tho.

I was with you guys on the production being kind of a mess and not really knowing how to feel about it on first listen. But on second listen, I really like it. It's heartfelt, different yet still very Lana, and the lyrics are sweet and interesting. The only thing I don't love is the little "stairway, stairwaaay" backing vocals during the chorus. They're mixed too loud so they kinda clash and are distracting. The whole chorus section is a little bit busy, but the more I hear it, the more I like that about it. Other than that one thing, though, I really do like the song. It takes a while to know how I truly feel about a Lana song, and I haven't totally digested this yet, but so far I'm feelin' it. Curious to see how it fits in the album and how all the songs connect with each other. 

When I first heard the song this morning I was so disappointed I felt sick tbh. The whole production sounded so sloppy and pieced together. Then I listened to the version without the weird cuts and sorta almost kinda maybe liked it. Then I gave in and downloaded it onto my laptop and put in my headphones and fell in love with it completely.   Sometimes her songs take like ten listens before I'm completely converted and once again hypnotized by whatever black magic she's casting. 

It seems like we're in another Ultraviolence transition where everyone complains about how the musics "different" or "not good enough" and only some fans are left to appreciate the album. Survival of the fittest in a way? 

the more i listen to it the more i like it, i might be in the minority on this one but i like lana's songs with the trap beats lol. i agree that it sounds a little rushed but overall i think its a really cool song

The Ride mv was basically her life in her twenties (although she wasn't a prostitute or anything lol... she sang behind cages tho  )

actually i've loved both tracks we've gotten so much that i don't feel that thirsty for new info, i am patiently waiting for her to announce everything, this era is rolling out smoothly for me

Stop, just don't even say you don't even like it. Don't even ask for a version without Abel, the song wouldn't even make any sense without him. This song is literally a conversation between Lana and her boyfriend, and I don't think an edited version is gonna give that same story to it. I think this song is fucking perfect, I still love Love, but this might take the cake as my favorite. The fucking pre-chorus. She's not fucking playing anymore, she came for them hits.
