pretty sure she means more soundtrack/score type things but id like her to try acting again tbh, Poolside just had terribly written dialogue so she might actually be a pretty good actor, we'll see i guess

Lana listening to Joni, ugh, too perfect

She definitely meant Joni. She was a huge part of the 60s Laurel Canyon scene.

I never believed this theory of Dautresme being Lana's grandmother, especially because it's solely based on their pretty similar looks what isn't a proof for me at all.
According to this site her grandmother's names are Cynthia Grant and Madeline Hill. I don't know how trustworthy this information is but this article on the website of the NY Times about Rob's and Pat's marriage lists at least the same names of her grandfathers as my first source does. So I just dare to believe that the names Cynthia and Madeline are their real ones too. And unless Lana somehow has a third grandma Beatrice Dautresme is not related to her (at least not as her grandmother).

I covered Little Girls & it's 10000x better than Lana's version tbh.

She's not her grandmother, according to everybody (check out https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/beatrice-dautresme ), but there is a close enough similarity that I wonder if Lana saw the photos and used her as a model for the BTD era look.

I was looking at something that I forgot now and I read somewhere that Lana has a grandma named Beatrice Dautresme and in a photoshoot of her in April 1969 for Vogue, she looks almost identical to Lana! Is this all real or is it photoshopped and edited or another person who looks really similar to Lana but has no relation with her.
Here are images of the photos in the magazine:

Regardless of whether or not they're actually related, the resemblance is uncanny. Makes me think of reincarnation.
(unless this Beatrice woman isn't dead, in which case nvm lol)

Yeah, I do think it's about him too (the cult leader). I guess what I'm saying is the song uses a toxic relationship as an allegory for alcohol/drug abuse. She does this a lot it seems; there was even the time she said she sometimes uses names as stand-ins for alcohol in her songs.

If you are more into Lana's organic/guitar-driven songs you should check my fanmade mixtape out:
"1949" (covers songs from 2009 - 2010)
1. Every Man Gets His Wish
2. Stoplight De-Lite
3. Come When You Call Me (A.M.E.R.I.C.A.) (4:34 - Version)
4. Boarding School
5. Motel 6
6. Heavy Hitter
7. Children of the Bad Revolution
8. Us Against the World
9. Kinda Outta Luck
10. You Can Be the Boss
10. Hundred Dollar Bill (Demo)
11. Trash Magic
12. The Man I Love (Fanmade edit of an alternate mix of Trash Magic)
13. Hawaiian Tropic
This playlist is the PERFECT companion to AKA. The bold songs are the ones I think are the "highlights", most of the time because they're the most polished ones.
If you're more into her "poppy" and "sexy" songs here's another mixtape:
"Midnight Answer" (covers songs from 2010 - 2011)
1. Paradise
2. Dynamite
3. Gangsta Boy
4. Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight
5. Oooh Baby
6. Delicious
7. Behind Closed Doors
8. Go Go Dancer
9. Big Bad Wolf / Hot Hot Hot (depending on which one you prefer)
8. St. Tropez
11. Summer of Sam
12. True Love on the Side
13. Hundred Dollar Bill (Final)
14. Beautiful Player
These songs are probably the most easy to get into if you usually listen to dance and pop music. The songs are catchy and sexy but still manage to capture Lana's personality fairly well. I highly recommend this one as well.
"America's Sweetheart" (covers songs from 2010 - 2011)
1. Dangerous Girl
2. Making Out
3. Push Me Down
4. Queen of Disaster
5. Marilyn Monroe (Puppy Love)
6. Breaking My Heart
7. Television Heaven
8. Butterflies (Part 1)
9. Butterflies (Part 2)
10. Fake Diamond
11. Back to tha Basics
12. Never Let Me Go
13. On Our Way
14. Take Me to Paris
15. Prom Song (Gone Wrong)
16. Driving in Cars with Boys
This playlist will melt your heart and probably make you cry. It's like spending the summer with your first love on a roadtrip through the countryside. It's just beautiful.
"Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang / Crimes of Passion" (covers songs from 2010 - 2011)
1. Hit & Run (2:57 - version)*
2. Serial Killer
3. Playing Dangerous
4. Is It Wrong
5. Put the Radio On
6. Ghetto Baby
7. Match Made in Heaven
8. Hit & Run (3:06 - version)*
9. Live or Die
10. Lift Your Eyes
11. Jealous Girl
12. She's Not Me
13. In the Sun
*again, depending on which one you prefer.
If you like Lana's gangsta persona this is definitely the playlist for you!
I have another mixtape in the works but I have trouble putting them in a good order:
Dum Dum
Tonight
Damn You
Break My Fall
Tired of Singing the Blues
Backfire
Velvet Crowbar
Afraid
TV in Black & White
My Best Days
Last Girl on Earth
You & Me
Hollywood's Dead
Because of You
and then there's the Paradise outtakes which don't seem to fit anywhere:
Hollywood
Starry Eyed
JFK
and of course the two Ultraviolence outtakes:
Black Beauty (Demo)
Angels Forever, Forever Angels
There's also a lot of Laptop demos and rough acapella demos out there, but I recommend listening to the "finished" tracks first before getting into the other ones.

Her catalogue is extensive and expands over many genres tbh These are a few of my personal IMO best tracks of Lana's unreleased material. Hoped I helped.

Wilde_child liked a post in a topic by Mind Melt in Lana featured as Comic Character on a remix cover, and may become a character
L.A.-based DJ-Producer Chris White, a.k.a Whiite, has revealed a remix of Lana Del Rey's "Shades of Cool" with a bonus — he turned the brooding chanteuse into a comic book character for the cover art. Del Rey's caricature finds her with flaming red hair and wearing an American flag T-shirt tied at the front. It's rumored that White is working on a graphic novel series and our fingers are crossed that Del Rey is a developing character.

Wilde_child liked a post in a topic by Blue Jeans in "Summertime Sadness" video film location
Summertime Sadness' video has been my favorite since it came out. I think it would be cool to know where it was filmed. I researched and found out that it was filmed in Santa Clarita, California, by Jaime King and her husband. In the video, you can see it is filmed mostly on a road, somewhere in the mountains that surround or are near Santa Clarita. In still photos, you can see a trash can in the background so I am assuming it was filmed at the King's house or someone's house that overlooked a valley, where Lana "killed herself" by falling off of the rocky edge of the sidewalk. Now, I'm not trying to be a stalker, I don't want to know where the Kings live, but this video has significant personal value to me and it would mean a lot if I knew where the video was filmed. I've looked but I can't figure out exactly where it was filmed. If you could help, that would be great.
