because in these day and age it's so much more fun to call out someone publically then asking/telling them privately what is wrong with them/their content.

remember social media has only been a major thing for the past say 10 years. just because you dont retweet a picture or write something online DOES NOT mean you do not care. that mentality is so annoying. however social media is obviously great for a number of reasons/spreading awareness which is why we wanted her to post something of course in the first place but the fact that she is taking physical action is a lot more than some of the assholes who are dragging her have probably done. and we cant assume the celebrities that haven't posted anything do not care either because for all we know they could've donated thousands towards charities but were honorable enough to not share it.
 
moral of the story, lets not be so quick to judge everybody and stop being so reliant on social media for activism.

God this is so frustrating. I don't think she deserves half the hate she's getting today. The video sucked and she took it down. But she is out PROTESTING. There are celebrities saying stupid shit and only posting BLM "tag 10 people" chains and they're attacking her?? So much of it is just bullying at this point. And I am not one to defend her every move but it's like... come on. She is out walking the walk. 

Twitter is a cesspool of toxic behaviour.

I think it's really the time for people to leave her alone now. She has broken the silence, resolved her fuck-up with the looting video and even though she didn't post the donation link she still acknowledged and supported the situation and didn't keep silent about it, her 2 posts and insta stories are fine now and don't scream of ignorance. She better log off for a while and people better stop hating on her so much, she's not a monster, she just fucks-up but having good intentions in her heart, but she tries to be better

Wow she really can't win. The looting video was a mistake and she quickly took it down. It's pretty clear her intentions weren't bad, she was showing things she was witnessing from the protests and didn't think of the potential danger. I've seen similar videos all over social media from people who likely just aren't thinking. The point is, she quickly heard that it was problematic and removed it. People really don't have enough important things to worry about right now, that they also want to take the time to bully Lana?

The dumbasses on stan twitter posting about burning all of her CDs and merch, but quickly taking it back because she uploaded something on the internet... clown shit

yeah but it was so rude of her to do that. she could've respectfully sent her a private message like an adult instead of publically shaming her like that when clearly it was an accident, that behaviour was just loud and obnoxious and directed even MORE attention to the post

Also Tinashe, i love her but she needs to shut the fuck up and mind her damn business. That public response to her video was entirely uncalled for. "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?" pfft girl what is your problem.

i think she's just really unaware of the kind of consequences her actions have been bringing lately. while I don't think she is ill-intentioned, i do think she's showing her ignorance and privilege on full display lately. it's really unfortunate because i do think she has a good heart, but at this point it's clear she doesn't know anything about what she's doing. hopefully she can do right, delete the initial post, and just post a donation link on her story or something. it obviously wouldn't make things perfect again - the damage is already done. but i think the least she can do is TRY to make things right. she owes it to the black community and to George Floyd.

She literally was at a protest and posted about it. I just don't understand how can this make her look worse. She probably should delete her Instagram cause she gets shit either way.
