Meh, we're just not used to seeing it on it's own. We'll get used to it.

However, I wish she would have gone with "Marina Diamandis" rather than just her first. Her last name keeps the diamonds in some form and it's still her actual name. Also, Marina is not that unique of a name--she's no Beyonce or Adele. Having her last name would help her stand out as much as she did with "& the Diamonds".

Froot's video has stunning visuals, but it didn't fit the song for me. The old Hollywood glamour and random older man was straight out of Lana's catalog; she should have been outside in the lush garden of that mansion among some Greek statues or something (they could've switched it to night time when the flowers and stuff would came alive in neon --to fit the aesthetic she originally had for the tour.) IAR was cute but there's was too much of her on the rocks. Forget was as boring as the rest. I can't imagine the incredible visuals and stories she could serve with a big budget.

I agree with Igloo so much omg. Froot is good, but the album is inconsistent. It has some of her top-notch tracks like Froot, Happy and Savages and at the same time the most forgettable songs like weeds, gold, better than that etc. Personally, I get the least emotions from Froot. TFJ literally gives me so much feels. Yes, it's not always mature but it's so honest and unfiltered, which is refreshing as hell.

I don't think the album's main theme is love. The whole album is her reflecting on herself and life now that she has a better happier outlook. That being said, I think Better Than That, Weeds, Savages, and Immortal are meant to show that even when you're happy, not everything is the best. There are still lows, but it's about how you perceive things. She does that in the latter half of the album with a level of maturity that was missing from TFJ and EH (which to me appear more like her just lashing out at all of her problems rather than acknowledging that they are problems.)

the only lana songs that are certified 11/10's are off to the races and west coast.

This is so "unreleased Lana" that it hurts. I hope it's on the album

Especially considering she started out doing the May Jailer songs etc. It's not like we haven't heard Lana like this before, yes I wasn't expecting it - but I'd much rather have Hey Blue Baby than say another trap / hip hop track.

"and you salute me, Miss Americaaaa" - the build up to this and the way the background vocals come in is incredible
The pre-choruses of Last Girl On Earth are heavenly
I love the "tapping" drum sound in the second verse of Religion and the mood it sets.
I like the echos in the bridge of Lolita that come in before she actually says the word--love how they switch between ears.
Her moaning in the background of Burning Desire is great.
Something about the Florida Kilos outro sounds really grand. I wish the bell/synth or whatever was more prevalent throughout the whole song.

Yeah HR has a long track record of shelving albums and throwing their artists in the basement. Both Aly&AJ and Selena Gomez have been vocal about their experiences. Apparently they aren't easy to work with lol

I think they might've disagreed on the direction she wanted to take with her music. Back in 2015 they had her scrap the video for High, so who knows what else they didn't like. I'm glad she's independent so she can do what she wants.

She talks about the scrapped video here
