It's one of her best songs ever, if you ask me.

I got the idea that Ultraviolence isn't supposed to be about the lyrics really. But more about the music and the flow and feeling. Al the chaotic instrumentals, the tempo changes, it presents her state of mind at different times in her life or even in moments. We know Lana can write really well, so I think all the repeating is done on purpose, to shift the focuse from the lyrics on to the flow of the song itself. I think it's also why a lot of the vocals are drowned out by the instrumentals. It's not meant to be carefully listened to, to understand the lyrics, it's meant to be felt.

After spending two hours of reading everyone else's special moments, I'd like to post some of mine. Here comes wasting another two hours writing this response. I'm going to organize them by album!

    Sirens

    LDRAKALG
In (one of my favorite Lana songs ever) Oh Say Can You See there are a ton of moments. The little guitar picking at the beginning and in between lines at 0:11 and 1:40, the at the and I wi-ul at 2:10, and the send you to Mars high note at 3:07. The breath at the end of Mermaid Motel, 3:28. Of course the dark night line in Yayo, 4:03. The crescendo in For K Part 2 at 1:07 and then I like the way you wear your sweater off your shouuuulder.
    Born to Die
Off to the Races obviously is just one big moment for me since it is my favorite song in the world but there's two parts that stick out to me... First the whole "glass room, perfume, cognac, lilac fuuuumes" line because she uses so many mellifluous words one after another it's just a lyric-gasm. Then right before 3:30 there's a little quiet part and then the bass just starts jumping and it aligns perfectly with "you're lying with your gold chain on" <3 <3 <3 The first few words of Radio on the album version and in the demo when the flute comes in with the *doodle-doodle-dooooo* noise like at 2:40. In Million Dollar Man live (especially at Hackney) when she literally wails like "one for the moneyyuuuhh, woauuhuhuhahh!!!!" The last chorus of Blue Jeans when it builds up after the bridge and drops at 2:55. It's like a cannonball of cinematic perfection. The entire Diet Mountain Dew demo is amazing but the "I dunno why but I liiiike it" line at 1:48.
    Paradise
Not exactly musical but during the Ride monologue when she does a short little breath before "I was always an usual girl". In Gods & Monsters how the drums and guitar just break down when she sings "Motel, sprees, sprees" at 1:06.
    Ultraviolence
The whole tempo change in West Coast gets me every time. It's genius. The "ba-da-da-da-da-babay"s and "yeauhhhss" at the end of Brooklyn Baby. I don't even like Guns & Roses that much but the haunting "ro-oohuh-ooses" part at 3:40 gives me shivers. I'll listen to the whole song just to hear that. "And all my girlfriends!" in Florida Kilos just because you can hear the smile on her face. The Lizzy Grant-esque background "yeah" in Fucked My Way Up to the Top at 1:04.
    Unreleased
In my fave unreleased Gangsta Boy there are a couple key moments. Of course there's the spine chilling yet adorable "my gangsta booOOOYYY-ooh-ooh-oohuh-ahhh!" in the beginning. Then at 1:21 when the backing vocals come in and she sings, "like ya leather and ya long hair, hunnay, hunnay", not sure why but it's always been an awesome moment for me. The repetitive "like"s in My Best Days and the boppy breakdown at the end. The "woah-oh-oh" part in Last Girl on Earth when she goes higher at 2:20. In Television Heaven the haunting backing vocals over and after the bridge followed by a cute lil laugh. In Hawaiian Tropic that heavenly vocal overlay with the chorus and "I remember party dresses" at 3:21. The moan in Serial Killer along with those quick "ha-ha-ha-ha-has!" "You turn my mood from black to blue-oOoOooh" in the Hundred Dollar Bill demo.

Yes! I love that bit in BB. I like the the way she sounds when she says "They judge me like a picture book/By the colors, like they forgot to read" too. That song in general is just

Most of Velvet Crowbar, she just feels it, here voice is so mature The ending of Yayo form AKA is absolutely hypnotizing The "Don't Tell Me It's Over" from Hollywood's Dead always gets me Maybe it's stupid, but in the beginning of Blue Velvet, with the music, she does that soft "mmm..." MAN that always melts me! On the beautiful Oh Say Can You See, when she sings "The voice of Nirvana says, come as you are, an I will, Night time is almost ours" - so hauting At parts in Is It Wrong she sounds so sexy and mature I just love it LUCKY ONES When she hits the high note on Cola - "come on come on woah oh uh uh uh wo hu ha ho ho ho huuu haaa yeahhhhhhh" MAAAAN When she hits the low note at some parts in Body Electric (especially whem she sings it live) NOIR Kinda Outta Luck - "can you be my SAVIAH!" - Iconic Dangerous girl - "Do you love me? Yes yes. HELL YES!" I love it ^^ ~~Million Dollar Man live~~ And, of course, her live performances of Heart-Shaped Box are beyond beautiful, she gets so emotional, and that 30 seconds when she holds that note... I just can't. 2:03 - 2:29 *_* I probably forgot a lot, those are the few that came to my mind

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but the 'I sing, I sing' and 'I'm free, I'm free' parts of Brooklyn Baby are divine, along with the last verse.

Yes, "Hello heaven, you are a tunnel lined with yellow nights on a dark night" is one of the best moments for me, but even more so the dark, eerie, and obsessive bordering on creepy turn "Yayo" takes after that.

That is a great emotional performance of MDM, and I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record on this, but I believe her performance at Òran Mór in Glasgow remains her best (although I do love the way she wails "I'm fine" on some other live performances, like Hackney I think). She nails all the tricks, does some great scatting, and way she screams "I don't know" at 3:03 gives me chills. If she hadn't forgotten to sing into her microphone at one point, it would be perfect. Perhaps she sang it so well here because Barrie was probably there.

    Some other great moments:
    - The high vocal harmonies in "Serial Killer"
    - The intros to "Kinda Outta Luck" & "She's Not Me"
    - Some of the breathier vocals on AKA, especially "Kill Kill", "Jump" and "Mermaid Motel"
    - "Goddamn, goddamn" in live version of "Pawn Shop Blues"
    - "Mmmmmmm" at the end of the chorus in "Video Games" and at the end of some lines in the chorus of "Kill Kill"
    - "Pushing up my (moans) in your face, in your face" in "Go Go Dancer"
    - "Not even they" and "their heavy words" in "Radio"
    - Alterna-rock live version of "Brite Lights", the whole thing
    - "Come on, come on" in "For K Part 2 (Demo)"
    - "savior" in Kinda Outta Luck

I think this is the most anticipated part of all the lyrics in all her songs for me

    It's so perfect.

He said, “Lana Ray, will you serve me lemonade”

and I said, “Yes, Bill, I will, it’s the day of the parade

And you look even more handsome than you did the day that I left you

How do you spend your nights, honey, still watching TV

I long to be in your arms honey, come back to me please”

When she sings "you said I’d never make it out of here alive, at the rate I was going, I’d be lucky to die" and "I said, he loves my heart-shaped sunglasses, he loves the heart shape my ass is" in Every Man Gets Him Wish.

The cover looks fantastic. It's just so weird knowing the mag's opinion of her.

I'm not sure that makes her a lesbian, it's a play off Cola. "My pussy tastes like Pepsi cola" y'know.

I want her to release never let me go, every man gets his wish and so on. I want them in good quality and I want her to get royalties for those great songs.

I'm not a huge fan of leaked songs even though I love Lana. It's that I want to buy her music and support her.

I think it's an abordable song for radio. Don't think it Will do much though.. Brooklyn Baby I feel has this immediate likeable quality, it's summery and I think it would be a wise choice. Same with Old Money, since it sounds like a Traditional ballad but with Lana's touch..

YAWN. this better have a cool video, at least. something to give us insight into her supposed cult years? i just really wish she wasn't releasing this song cos of "he hit me and it felt like a kiss." i'm anticipating some backlash.
