Honestly I've found this whole situation so hard to wrap my head around.
 
Obviously we don't really know Lana but like many others have mentioned, we do know her on some level because she has chosen to share a lot of herself both through her art and the way that she communicates her feelings. A lot of us spend a significant amount of time on a forum dedicated to Lana, so of course we feel invested in both her artistic and personal endeavors. That doesn't mean we get to have a say in what she does, but it does mean that we care about the directions she chooses to go.
 
Something feels very strange about all this. Personally I've never felt that any of Lana's past controversies were really problematic, but more so a combination of misunderstanding and overblown drama. This does feel different this time. I just can't really fathom how she could not only align herself so closely, but also marry someone who holds views like Jeremy does. Especially so close an election where the stakes are so high. She has been so clear in her stance against Trump in the past, and it's just disheartening to see her ignore all that for a marriage that seemingly came out of nowhere to a person who holds deeply concerning values. I know we don't know Jeremy, and I'm sure there are positive qualities to him, but it's hard not to feel uncomfortable about the whole thing.
 
I wish nothing but the best for her and want her to be happy, but I genuinely hope she's okay. There are reasons to feel a bit of concern.

Also liberal leaning white women marrying Trump voters and taking the "oh, but he is super smart and caring" stance was cringe before Lana did it and will always be cringe even after Lana did it 

And we don't want to know him personally. We know everything we need to by his political views because, in 2024, still voting for or supporting Trump is an active vote for HATRED and IGNORANCE. 
Fans being upset that their favorite singer is married to someone with those views and that type of person is 100% valid. Yes, we don't know them at all, this is parasocial but just like you are a huge fan of her and respect her, we do too. But this is really a sour taste given a lot of her fanbase are apart of the minorities that her husband's views actively smear. 

“Smart” is like the last word I think of when I think of Trump supporters

It's still Lanas life and her decision alone, but the lengths people go in this forum to defend people they don't know is ridiculous.

Serious question: if people are going to be defending his beliefs in this thread, why can't I respond to that in this thread?

I can’t befriend anyone personally who is a trump supporter because of what he stands for- if you’re conservative then that’s whatever, but a specific vote for someone who initiated women’s rights being taken away even in cases where abortion would lead to them not dying, said outright racist views and raped women(confirmed in court proceedings) is not right.

Thirst traps 100%.  Every other video he liked a couple weeks ago were different random women making videos in lingerie or bikinis. Shortly after, he made his “likes” private. Super disrespectful to Lana but maybe she knows and is ok with it. Can’t speak for her. But if that were my boyfriend….. let alone husband……. I’d throw a fit and if he didn’t stop I’d be done.

The thing with BB is that the songs individually are amazing. I love listening to WFWF, BBS, Thunder, etc as standalone songs. As an album it just doesn’t click for some reason. Idk why.

Everything Quavo touches sounds like a dated 2016 radio song. That laughable auto-tune and the "brrrr" 💀

I don’t really see myself listening to this again but I appreciate that it may be a nice way to warm up everyone for a Lana country era.

Lana saves the song, but I somehow can't listen to it more than three times because Quavo's part is just too over the top in terms of volume
