Sadly, I think her ego seems to bave inflated because of her fans who will scream for her no matter what she does on stage. Her voice sounded better in the Paradise era because she felt like she actually had something to prove back then.

that's what I really love about her May Jailer songs, they're so complicated; some of the lines (like the ones you mentioned) are so romantic + cute but others are so tragic (Had to make it known I wasn't alright + I'm doing alright most of the time). i miss this sharp lyricism.
