american whore would not have been the better title and it’s not because of vulgarity in my opinion. the themes of the album expand past just  sex or being an “american whore.” i think the current tunnel encapsulates the ideas expressed in the album well and i also loved the theory of the album kind of being like a journey through a tunnel, making your way to the light at the end (with it being very dark in the middle) 

The Grants would've been better without the gospel singers, Lana could've done those gospel parts with her layered vocals, don't tell me it wouldn't have sounded way better if she did 

A few hours from the album release and I’m trying to read everything (I’m one of those people liking posts from 100 pages before lol), the only statement that seems to be almost unanimous (like 99%) is that taco truck part should be longer on the last track

I am insane this album cycle because for the first time I have disposable income. I've preordered all the vinyl variants besides the standard. When the Spotify Exclusive LP sold out on the US site I asked a British family friend if one of his family members could provide a shipping address within the UK. His brother said yes and he'll ship the vinyl to me in the US when it arrives. 
 
It's all very conflicting because while it brings me joy, the environmental impact of vinyl production and general consumerism makes me sad. I hate how capitalistic the music industry is. I rarely buy things that are non-essentials, don't drive a car, don't own many clothes either (I have 3 pairs of jeans for pants), etc. I like to think it balances out. Still very privileged of me, I know.

I lowkey feel bad for that magazine it’s probably just some random guy trying to run a music blog now he is going to be harassed for 2 months by instagram stans

Well I couldn't imagine better album. NFR who? But having 2 albums in the same year isn't a bad thing. We can actually make our own playlist of god tracks like I did.

That tracklist would instantly scalp me!

I have been listening to “If I Lie Down With You”, “Black Bathing Suit”, “Dealer” and “Thunder” nonstop. 
 
Lizzy really jumped out on IILDWY, and I’ve said this so many times but Dealer is really that bitch, that’s totally in my top 10 Lana songs tbh
 
also how can I forget Blue Banisters(song), the line “I said, ‘I’m scared of the Santa Clarita fires, I wish that it would rain’” is sung so beautifully gah, I can feel her soul in that line
